The BBC have just plugged Froch v Dodson on the end credits of 'Sunday Grandstand', I take it the fight's on again?
Either that or one hand doesn't know what the other's doing.
Does anybody know what's going on for sure?

Does Hennessy?

How long would it take the Grandstand team to edit a graphic? 10 seconds...less? They must have double checked the closing graphics since the fight was cancelled, so, does that mean nobody has told the Beeb yet?
If they've (the BBC) been told and haven't changed the graphic/plug they're either deliberately misleading their audience or they're incompetent.
Likewise if the promoters haven't informed the BBC, they're either deliberately misleading the TV company, and therefore the public too, or they're incompetent.
Not eveybody has internet access, people will have seen that advertisement, and as far as they know they'll expect to see the Lonsdale belt contested on Wednesday night. Unless there has been another switch around, that will not be happening. It's not on.

At £100 a pop for a ringside seat, the punters deserve better.

Damn right it needs to be sorted out, if it is not back on then this advert shows the type of contempt the BBC holds for it's Boxing viewers...if it's back on then sorry Beeb all is forgiven!

I'm sure Froch is not fighting Dodson this week.
Just the BBC getting their Boxing info wrong AGAIN!

I will risk ridicule by saying that Woolnaugh is not THAT bad of a late replacement. It could just be the diet of shite we've been fed lately but the lad might cause Froch a few problems. It's intriguing because Froch was a bit exposed last time.
But the Beeb have slipped up again...and why are BoxRec still carrying the ad banner, almost a week after Dodson pulled out?

It must kill Hennessy's teaboys their man now has to advertise on a forum derided by them as "the lesser forum" for so long.
As for Woolnough, on seven days' notice, he hasn't got a prayer of winning. The best we can hope for is some competitive action for a few rounds, but when you know exactly who's going to win BEFORE a fight, it reeks.

Can't believe they wouldn't have informed their BBC paymasters.
No doubt a BBC cock up - someone put the wrong tape in the machine, or just plain forgot to edit the trailer out. Hopefully not so blatant as to run some false advertising.

Forget all the incompetence, on the same night in Hereford, Dazzo Williams defends his British featherweight title against Roy Rutherford.
Dazzo won the title on a hotly-disputed decision over Rutherford in November.
No false advertising or hard sell needed for this one. This is a real fight.

Roy Rutherford went to school with Richard Evett I think?
