You've heard of Willie Pep winning a round by not landing a punch?
Well Chinese ex Silver super heavy Olympian went one better - he won his debut by TKO in about 10 seconds without landing a single punch! (At least not a scoring punch, though he hits the shoulder once)

He must be some puncher (eye roll)

I would definitely watch that for freak value! Fairly sure Zhilei would win; his amateur pedigree is good

Yes - he also won silver at Beijing; I think Camarelle brutalised him

Wow, two Chinese heavyweights with some degree of potential. Could be interesting to see how much China gets behind these guys.
Actually, just watched Taishan and he looks appalling. Make that one guy with *some* degree of potential.

What the hell was that? A light punch to the forehead and a punch to the shoulder and the guy hits the floor like he's been sparked, then the ref steps in without looking at him. What were the odds on a stoppage under 0:15? Anyone check for a shady character slipping the loser a brown envelope. That is bollocks.

Zhang was among the top few SHWs as an amateur for a bit, but I think he peaked around 2010 and has been going downhill for a couple years. I think he'll be a case of someone who spent too long in the amateurs prior to turning pro.

Zhang will make a decent pro, if they get him fighting in China, get him the OPBF title
and defend it against a few Aussie heavies - I think he will do a lot better as a pro
than an amatuer, he is big, strong, has power and isn't a bad boxer.
