Kell showed his skill, fitness, toughness and mental strength to overcome the champion and betting favourite on home soil to become a genuine world champion. There's no quit in that lad.

Calm work in the corner stemming an early cut and an excellent gameplan working well. If Adam Booth had done that job the praise would be gushing in. Well done to Britain's most under-rated trainer Dominic Ingle for getting his boy in such fantastic shape.

European champ (Galahad) and British champ (Ajisafe) should benefit from 2 weeks training in Vegas, as well as prospects Gill, Shaffique and Wood.

Well done boys. You did your country proud.

Dominic and Kell both learned something and improved from the first Carson Jones fight.

Was there a reason why he stopped doing the training side of things though or he just prefers the matchmaking side of the business? I suppose Parsons or one of the sheffield lot by be able to answer that better though

You can't hold everyone's opinion against them. Can't you just be glad he proved them wrong? None of it was ever personal against Kell. Everyone is pleased he won!

mickey - Nelson got Kell's autograph in Sheffield. After he's met Amir Khan he's been having pops at Kell on another forum. I just considered it a little weasil-ish.

No, and so he shouldn't, he's been groomed for this for a long time and around fighters preparing for big fights even longer. He knows the score. I don't know about Billy, I just presumed he was glad Kell won. I actually lol'd when Ed put Ryan on the spot about Brook-Khan and he told him straight! Not many would have.

Stuff like this makes me question that. It's like no one's allowed any sort of negative opinion and we all have to worship the ground he walks on, otherwise we're haters and trolls. If that's the way it has to be then I'd rather he got beat, save all the gloating and I told you so's to anyone who dared to doubt him.

I see what you mean but I ignore it when it comes from people close to the fighters camp such as PS, Parsons etc. I've been biased myself so know how it is.

I'm happy to admit that I was wrong, I thought Porter was going to walk right through him and take him out in the first 6 rounds, what I don't like is the way it's rammed back down people's throats like it's some sort of sacrilege. Horse I can understand, he went completely over the top and still won't admit he was wrong, but the rest of us had legitimate doubts, Kell proved us wrong and good on him for it.

Massive respect to kell, he's done it the hard way. Past and current so called british world champions were nothing more than paper champions who avoided the best and fought hand picked opponents. He definitely done it the hard way, fought and undefeated highly rated American in his back yard and done the business. Probs the biggest win for a brit abroad in the last 15 years at least. Been critical of his opposition in the past but hes done it when it matters. Just hope he goes on a froch type run of opponents now.

If you read your posts back, many of them have been very critical of Kell, but I don't recall anyone trying to ram anything down your throat.
Horse became a ridiculous troll and I'm shocked that a professional trainer could smarm around Kel getting his autograph and then,after meeting his rival, start slating him on the internet. Who is the one with a mental weakness?

I doubt if Billy would of meant anything personal , I think he may have been commenting more from a trainers point of view , after watching Kell fight , He probably spotted something in Kells previous performances that gave him that impresion , He was proved wrong Kell proved that he was mentally tough enough to withstand the pressure , and stick to the game plan .

Horse does it on purpose, it gives him a purpose! I doubt he's even been to a fight, let alone behind the scenes or around fighters like yourself, ignore him. I don't read other forums but did find it a bit strange when you said Billy got an autograph. Maybe a quick pic or something but as you say, the man was a world champs trainer.
