Whats happening with him.

Not fought for a while and nothing scheduled. Are there injury issues?

He's in a lawsuit with TR iirc. Guessing thats gonna keep him sidelined til its resolved.

So many fighters today seem to get involved in promotional lawsuits that put their careers on hold.
During what should be their prime years, too many fighters would rather fight promoters in court than an opponent in the ring.
They just squander their potential and prime money-making years.
Hope Garcia, who seems to be on the verge of being a P4P best, wises up and earns his respect and millions in the ring and not through some lawsuit.

I want see him against Uchiyama,Miura or Barthelemy.

I think Garcia is one of the P4P hardest punchers in the sport.

This. Loads of "star potential" dudes fight the guys that establish you in reality as a solid contender, the Roman Martinezes or Orlando Sotos, then get anointed & go into litigation or whatthefuckever the legal term is for whatever happens to these dudes.

I'd just like to see someone who's supposed to be the best fight a proper dangerous guy.

I'd like to see Crawford-Garcia.

Uchiyama and Miura haven't fought all year and don't have anything scheduled. Would love to see either one in with Garcia

For me he would beat Miura and 50/50 against Uchiyama.

I understand the sentiment but you seem to imply that the boxer is vexacious in a legal dispute; what if the boxer has a strong case and right on their side? Should they be owned by the promoter?

Well, I had to look up vexacious before I responded, but I guess it means that the fighter has no case. Just filing suit to be annoying, or more to the point, simply seeking financial gain or freedom from the current promoter.

For the most part, todays' fighter sign long-term commitments with promoters, and then someone else (an Al Haymon type) eventually comes along and claims they're being shafted and should do something about it. Of course, they guy whispering in their ear insists he can get them a better deal. Ergo, advice to sue in court ensues, seeking termination of the contract.

I'm weary of these fighters' having "buyers remorse" simply because they fall for another promoters' self-serving claims. Soon they believe they'll get a title shot quicker, earn larger purses, and generally become a bigger star if they break the contract and sign elsewhere.

Unless these fighters can demonstrate fraud by their current promotional company, why don't they just live up to their current contract and wait until it eventually expires.
Losing focus on what should be their #1 priority--boxing, not business---may result in their eventual failure to live up to their abilities. And with that, the money they crave will dry up anyway.

Seems like most fans tend to side with promoters lately or fault the fighter, but I suspect these issues are more complicated than that cuz ultimately a non-fighting fighter & a non-promoting promoter of said fighter don't make much mfing sense for either party.
