...according to his Twitter.
18/08/2014 19:21 @FirstClassBox: August 1st was Gavin v Bundu so by my understanding both men should have been paid by August 8th, @LeonardBundu says otherwise #boxing
18/08/2014 19:26 @Leonard Bundu: @FirstClassBox @LeonardBundu I'm telling and confirming to you that I have yet to be paid.

That's shitty to put it mildly. I almost get the feeling that 'allegedly' is eating up all frank's money and he cant afford to pay the fighters.

That's poor
But... It's only 10 days late.. 90% of my business isn't paid with 21 payment warranty
If it goes another month they should suspend promoter licence

Does 90% of your business involve people putting their lives and physical wellbeing on the line?

I know its the holiday season with precious little boxing on at the moment, and I also appreciate the line up the channel has shown this year is just incredible, but they're still taking this month's subscription from all paying subscribers and giving us nothing in return for it, so there should be some money in the kitty to pay Bundu.

......makes you wish McGuigan's ideal of a powerful, well-supported Professional Boxer's Union offering legal clout, financial advice and medical support had taken-off in the UK and Europe. The fighters should have done themselves a major favour and signed-up en masse for that project. I bet Bundu is out of pocket right now, having paid for hotels, flights and sparring.

Circa 10 years ago Frank was recognised as one of, if not the, best and reliable payers in the sport.

Bundu may not be so keen on a rematch then, eh? It is awful really isn't it? The boxers purses ought to be placed in an escrow account or placed with the board of control.

Fwank doesn't have another show on until October, it seems he has cash flow issues, it's possible that one show is being used to pay for the previous show, explaining the late payments, if that's the case then he needs to dip into his pocket, his own money if needs be, and pay Bundu and get his cashflow issues sorted out.

This is a disgrace if true Warren needs to sort it and make it public that he has done so or I am not going to another Warren show.

That wouldn't work cause they may not have the money till sales are complete
Fair if you have had a few complaints UPHELD though, don't let them promote unless they do this

Is Bundu the only one from the bill yet to be paid?

If there's others no one's spoken up, Frank will probably pay his own fighters first, then the opponents.

When he took on the syndicate he won a lot of fighters over for paying well and on time

Not sure if anyone else notices this, but when Fwank goes public with his silly match-making offers (which will never get off the ground) he always seems to mention putting the money into escrow ahead of the fight. It is normally when he is trying to match one of his lads with a champ from another camp, eg Froch - Cleverley. Froch was never going to fight on a Fwank show for a variety of political reasons but Fwank would throw the challenge out, and always mention putting up the purse money in advance. It struck me as a bit sad that he has to make it clear - perhaps for fear of getting flack about it not being a reliable offer. I can't think of many others who have to do this.

Fecking get this sorted Frank. Its ok if it's one of your own fighters and they are fine about getting paid late from time to time but not foreign fighters your nothing to do with

That was 25 years ago wasn't it? I'd have imagined after all that time being a success cash flow would be less of a problem.

The bloke is an absolute rat. The way he cheated Calzaghe out of his Hopkins purse was outrageous.
Re: Bundu, the money should have been paid into his account the day after the fight. Good shout from the poster who mentioned fight purses should be held independently at the time of fight.

I wonder what the Board will do about it? In fact, I don't need to wonder - I know exactly what they will do.
At best Smith will trot out some line about being unable to act as they have not had a formal written complaint in triplicate pursuant to section 1263 sub section A part 2 of the Load of Bollox rule of 1812.
This is no joke - in future why would decent boxers want to come to this country to fight?
Let's be honest, it is unlikely that they will get a fair decision and if they are also not likely to get paid then why bother?
We will end up with British only fights for Commonwealth, European and World titles ... Er... A bit like now really .....

Obviously times, or principles have changed
