Heard this said a couple of times recently, Dominic Ingle used it to describe Brook in the build up to the Porter fight. Who currently in British boxing has absolutely no quit in them (excluding journeymen)? Froch, Derry, Coyle (in the Brizuela fight), Purdy... Must be a fair few more but my minds gone blank!

Enzo Mac comes to mind as someone who will not go away until he's pummeled in some form, and he pushed through difficult moments to beat McPhilban and Ovill. There have also been several times during his career where I thought he was finished and should retire only for him to bounce back strong and score good wins, and in this sense I think the phrase is particularly applicable to him.

He's not the go to war, take a zillion shots, and come from behind to win type though.

Amir Khan, heart as big as a bin lid. Always quite admired how he will always try and drag himself up, where others would definitely stay laid down.

Id say John Simpson seems to fight anyone and only been stopped by Selby or when fighting way out of any sort of comfortable weightclass for him!

He's long retired but I remember Mickey Driscoll having a proper lust for a fight and he just did not give up.

Unbelievable effort in the geale fight however it looked like he just wanted a way out in the martinez fight. The punch that finished him was no harder than anything he had been hit with all night it just looked as if he wanted to stop getting hit, imo martinez definitely broke him and made him quit, which actually makes his comeback against geale even more impressive as I definitely didn't think he had that sort of toughness in him after the martinez fight.

Although retired, Chris Eubank had no quit in him at aø.

Despite all the recent criticism after the Chisora saga, I'd say there's absolutely no quit in Tyson Fury when he's in the ring.

The most plausible explanation I've heard, is that Duran didn't consider what Leonard was doing as real fighting, and as he felt he was just being made to look silly, he just thought 'No Mas.'

It didn't help that he'd been necking diuretics and laxatives to lose weight rapidly after ballooning to over 200 lbs during the layoff from the first fight, and apparently had the runs during the bout.

Yeah, I'll go with that. Have you heard the story of how he used to swim to an island and get coconuts in a bag and swim back? He got into difficulties on the way back one time and his friends had to swim out to save him. He wouldn't let go of the sack that was weighing him down, his mates said he'd have sooner drowned than drop them.
