I think he was a kickboxer. HE might have tried boxing, but based on his skills he showed in UFC he most likely did not do to good. The guy looked like crap.
Check his record in the data base. THis is the biggest data base on the net.

According to this database entry, Keven Rosier had a 7-16-0 record. Pretty weak.

despite not being a great fighter in boxing or no holds barred fights Rosier did have a great chin. strong chin and even decent power can get anyone a few tko\ko wins

He was a pretty big, strong, tough man in those early MMA days. This is the only boxing match I could find on YouTube for him. Jesus Christ Almighty God bless you all.

tye fields shouldve been in movies, what an absolute adonis. although looks a bit ridiculous with that hair
kev himself looks like a big burly dude, broad , tall, and still some of that muscluar look at 285 when most dudes that weight are just all jelly. although watching that, it wouldnt have surprised me if you told me that guy was just a bouncer they called up after a shift one day, with no actual boxing experience......i.e. 90 percent of the guys tye beat

ironic that Kevin Rosier was a bouncer and bodyguard in new York and a kickboxer who was not always fat
