Just read a thread about someones kids but that made me think about ex boxers kids such as Eubank Jr etc.

Not going to start the daft threads about kids v kids but wondered if Benn had any son's, if so how old are they? Also what about Herol Graham? did he have any son's. Generally kids in sporting families generally follow dads game as they were spoon fed it as kids

Benn has a son called Connor (sp), who last I heard was planning of becoming a fighter. There were a few videos of him about a while ago.

It was a while ago but Nigel was saying he couldn't keep up running with him anymore. Guess he would turn pro in Australia as that's where they live.

I think he's lived in Sydney the last few years. He'd had enough of Ibiza. He was able to get citizenship because of his celebrity status, unlike The Crankies.

He's definitely in Sydney, the posh bit too.

Dunno about Ibiza but I know he lived in Majorca, Palma I think.

Nigel lives where he wants, he's like Chuck Norris.

Yep saw him there about 7 years ago, in Pollenca (dunno if he lived there or just visiting)

There's clips of him sparring on YouTube. Connor benn. Looks very raw.

Herol has one son, Oliver. He must be 22 now. Got shot in the head a few years back, survived.
I don't think he's in to boxing.

Met up with Nigel and Connor just about 2yrs ago when he was back living over here and trying to sort out a move to Oz. Connor had had a few am contests and was planning on taking his time with his training, but not planning on a long amateur career. Seemed like a really nice kid.

Obviously Steve Collins' lad and Eubank jr have turned over. Steve Robinson has a couple of lads, Luke is already a pro and his younger son is involved...again both great kids.

Joe Calzaghe has sons, but as far as I know they arent bothered.

As Palooka said, Nigel lives where he wants.

I saw a nice piece by Sky on Joe's career (an Adam Smith and Johnny Nelson double-header) and the question was asked about JC's boys fighting. Joe just gave that little smile of his, 'yeah...they've both got it and we saw the signs.........but they won't be boxing.' I've paraphrased JC alot but interesting to hear this, I think he was secretly chuffed.

I imagined that boxing is a very hard way to make a decent living and a big part of it is getting to a better position so your kids have better options to make a life.

Think his oldest son boxes or at least he used to, remember an interview with Jane Couch from a couple of years ago, not sure if he's still fighting though.

A lot of unnecessary pressure on the offspring of former champions

he had 2 pro cousins box, the Bowen brothers, and there was a James Benn who boxed for west ham who was his nephew

Benn spoke about his son on a previous Ringside Special. He seemed very grounded, and spoke about letting him find his own way without any interference / pressure from himself.
