After scouring through all the 'Kens' on Boxrec I can only find 1 'Ken' that has lost 6 times and fought in the 50's so im going to say this could well be the 'Ken' on that programme

He could well be one of those guys who claims to be a 'professional' boxer but has never actually boxed professionally. I'm not saying that he is one of them but there are plenty of them about

On the tv program it showed him in a boxing pose, not saying that makes him a pro but he looked genuine enough. The gym he was building is in Devon so that could narrow it down a bit

I'd be surprised if that guy was the man, he looked about 6 foot tall nowadays, couldn't see him being a featherweight

Most likely one I could find was Ken Bebbington.

About right age (the programme dated back a few years).
Remember, he is going to forget/exaggerate his record.
BUT, the bloke on the programme, still in good shape, looked bigger than a welterweight.
