How much his Chsiora and Fury getting paid?

I see they have been given some up front money (allegedly article) of their purse before this fight and I understand Chisora has been spotted getting the new BMW i8 sports car or at least putting a deposit down.

So the I wanted to know how much are they getting for this fight?

Chisora is wealthy in any case; doesn't he have a car lot? He'll have nice cars all the time.

Shrewd of Fwank to give them an advance - it compels them to turn up on the night. I bet he's sick of the cancellations and if this one falls through a second time, he'll never live it down.

I am sure that any payment is being held in an escrow / holding account with a solicitor - they won't actually receive or be able to spend the money until after the fight.

There will also be a return clause should the fight not happen.

Don't know about FW being shrewd, this is probably the only way that Fury would agree to the fight and seeing him get this then Chisora would have wanted the same - otherwise he may have had to resort to going on twitter for a few months until the cheque turned up (second post).

I don't see either taking small enough purses for this fight to happen.

Fwank has said both fighters have had sizeable advances on their purses. The language being used clearly suggests the money has found its way to the fighters. It's not really an advance if it is held by a third party and you can't spend it. Well, not in our world but who knows !

My guess would be £250k each. I don't think the promotion event itself can possibly cover the purses let alone the cost of the entire show, I think the shortfall would be made up from the TV channel. Fwank wants a big fight for a number of reasons, this is the one he can get his hands on and make, in some ways he is buying more subscribers because even though most of us on here are bored at this fight, if it does hold together, the 72 hours leading up to the fight will see people sign up to the channel to see it.

I really do hope that this time Fwank has got a bona fide replacement on standby. If a bookie offered me a free hundred quid bet to put on either Chisora or Fury I would ask if I could bet that the fight falls through again.

I don't see how paying them a quarter of a million quid each could stack up but you may be right and they'll subsidise the purses from BN's kitty. This isn't a big fight in my eyes and the way the tickets weren't going for the original date, I don't think I'm alone.

At the risk of sounding awful I don't think it would be the first time - on accident or by design - that this promoter will lose big money on a show.

I recall an interview with Andy Ayling last year, who said Fwank lost almost or around a million quid on one show - it might have been getting Hide home advantage vs Vitali. Andy wasn't revealing this as a criticism, the context of it was that a promoter may choose to lose money on a particular show as part of the bigger picture, and sometimes that approach works, sometimes it doesn't.

Regarding Chisora and Fury, its the only big domestic fight, capable of attracting general sports fans and the public, that he can put together. Small trade fights won't register a blip on subscription levels, and in terms of getting the biggest overseas fights, in fairness he's already doing that. And it deals with the issue of what to do with Chisora. Putting him in with anyone else in a WBO final eliminator won't get anymore subscribers, and there is a risk Delboy loses. I am absolutely certain Fwank has got one eye on Tyson Fury if he beats Delboy. The vultures have picked all the flesh off Hennessey's bones save for Galahad and Fury, and I don't think Channel 5 can finance Fury's career in terms of paying big money for TV rights.
