Canelo's trainer looks pretty young. not sure how old the dude is but he looks like hes in his 30s and canelo was young when he won his first world title.

Shingo Inoue doesn't look old and his son is 21 so they'll maybe combine for low 60's.

Idk if they count cuz I don't think they've won a title together only defended, but Jonathan Banks & Wlad should be on a list. Robert Garcia & Brandon Rios should be up there too.

I think Shane is younger than Carl. I think (could be wrong) that he's 25.

I don't think they're the youngest, but CHad Dawson and John Scully were pretty young.

Clearly it's Shumenov. Wins WBA belt at 26 + no trainer = combined age of 26.

Omar Figueroa was 23 when he won his title and his trainer Joel Diaz was 40.

If I'm right they were 45 + 29.

That's probably the answer.

Someone was running the corner on the night though, so it's their age that would have to be added, or just double 26 to make 52, otherwise it's not the combined age of the boxer and the trainer. If Frampton wins 51/52 must be very close to the record, if not beating it. Paul Butler and Arnie Farnell combine to make 60, which is younger than most suggestions on this thread.

I think Gregorio Benetiz was born in 1929, so he would've been around 47 when Wilfredo won the title at 17, for a total of 64 years.

Cheers, mate.
It would be interesting to know if any fighter/trainer did it at a younger age (combined) than Tyson & Rooney...

Nick Florio was 23 years old and and Tony Canzoneri was 18 years 11 months and 18 days old when he won the world title in June 1927. A combined total of around 42 years

Manny Steward was, I think, 35 when Tommy Hearns won the title at 20...

I "felt" young when that fight took place...i always saw so many trainers that were seemingly much older than I....my contribution to the debate is Emanuel Steward and Tommy Hearns...I think Manny was 35 or 36 when Tommy won the title and I think Tommy was 20....give or take...

Krzysztof Włodarczyk 24 + Fiodor Łapin 39 = 63

So in other words, combined age was about...
only 55

Tyson Fury and Ben Davison probably don't cross 65, no?

52 years = Carl Frampton & Shane McGuigan
50 years = Mike Tyson & Kevin Rooney
I wonder if one of Robert Garcia's fighters could be included in this list? He's trained loads of world champions and I reckon the combined age would be less that 55 years.
