Thanks Anson, good stuff as always. I always like Coggi. He wasn't the best at 140 but he was right up there. I thought he was better in his first reign - when he beat a Oliva, Brazier and Ramirez, - than he was later in his career when he fought Randall

Coggi is one of those guys who people forget about a very solid champion who reigned on and off for a decade, having 16 title defenses regularly fighting on the road.

Really interesting to speak to and get his name out there again for people to see what he's doing and get a re-cap on his career.

Coggi was a guy who I rooted against as he displayed quite a bit of arrogance in the ring. He was a solid fighter who left himself open for a lot of counters but was not in boring fights. His fight with Gonzalez was crazy due to the ref's intervention. The fight I always wanted to see was Coggi and Valery Kayumba from France as I thought it was going to be the only chance the Frenchman had to win the title. Great to see these older warriors mellow a bit in their older age. He added spice to boxing in the early 90's which was my heyday as a fan.

I liked Coggi & also keep an eye on his son's record.

Italy was a boxing hotbed back in the late 80's early 90's with a lot of title fights happening down there. Some dodgy shenanigans too (Oliva v Laing being a good example).

This has also reminded me of Morris East, the mixed race Filipino kid who wanted to win a world title so he could meet his G.I. American dad. Great story.

Has anyone done Jesse James Leija? He fought a bunch of good fighters.

How about Orlando Canizales. Terry Norris.

Khaosai Galaxy, one of my all time favourites. Also, he's now a comedic actor in Thailand. My in-laws love him.

I did Norris and he was in RING magazine last year. I also have Canizales but again not published as yet.
