Props to Adrien Broner

for somebody being a super feathweigght not a long ago and fighting one of the world biggest heavy hitters in higher divisions in maidana and now sayn "I wont matthysse next after I ko taylor!."

I respect that, thats good entertainmant, when a technician like him want heavy hitters infront of him. I would surely favour matthysse, just hammering broner like maidana did, but broner was green back than and maybe he got some mroe experience, when to exchange and when to step back and focus more on movemant and deffence

I mean, he talks trash, he is not the brightest, but dude got heart, he realy is willing to go in there with the biggest punchers, not like others who waited and prefered fighting bruseles, ndou or grandpa gatti instead of going 1 division up for a mega fight against hard punching king of light welterweights kostya tszyu or who later prefer making 1 half year vacation when the division is loaded and margarito & pacquiao were red hot!! hrhrhr......

yeah, broner is good boxing, he wants the best match ups and trades with his opponents even so some might be physical superior to him.

Saying he wants Lucas next, and fighting Lucas next, are 2 different things.
AB says a lot of stuff. Saying you want someone next doesn't take heart.
I'm not saying he has no heart, though- I'm simply saying don't give too much credit to a fighter for saying he wants to fight someone.
We'll see what happens. If he fights Lucas, I'll give him some credit for it.
But words are wind.

How many others are calling out Maidana or Lucas ?

There are fighters lined up to fight both of those guys.
Wherever you stand in boxing, there are guys behind you, wanting to fight you.
And fighters often call out fighters they have no intention or expectation of fighting. It's a show.
Is that the case here? We'll see.
If he fights Lucas, credit to him. If not, it was just another case of the mouth-runs.
Otherwise, why wouldn't the fighter who says "I'll fight anyone at any time" be the guy who gets the most credit?
I mean, no one is calling out everyone like that, right? Props to that guy. He says he wants to fight everyone!

He can't hang with the top welters.

exactly. broner doesnt hide away from big punchers, thats the point and if takes on somebody like maidana, who at welterweight is even bigger and stronger than mattysse, than why shouldnt he not be willing to fight matt. I believe broner. his action speak loud and him willling for a maidana rematch and a matthysse fight speaks for itself.

Unless your name is Golovkin or Ward, then there are very few fighters wanting to fight you.

Broner will always be a douche it seems. At the final press conference he put his hands around Taylor's throat. I hope that Taylor beats the piece of shyt.

There are hundreds of fighters who would give their left nut to fight either one of those guys.
Highly promotable ones? Not really, but there are plenty of guys who dream of fighting GGG or Ward and pray for the chance.

The problem with "avoidance" in boxing is that it's mostly relative.
Most fighters only want to look/move forward, so they're calling out and only looking to fight a guy in front of them or of relative standing.
Meanwhile, while they're calling out the guys in front of them, they're turning down the guys behind them.
Rinse and repeat.

I don't think that AB has the fear of matthysee that some seem to. Especially now that he's already has his first defeat, what does he really have to lose. He wants his name to be in lights, get the big fights, and the large purses. And he knows the only way to do that is to fight the big names. I believe that he intends to fight lucas, and I honestly think he can win.

Broner took Maidana fight because he talks so good about him self that he himself believed that lie and thought he can beat Maidana and he was schooled.

he was good at the lighter classes because he was always the bigger guy there, in 140 or 147 the best he can do is with guys like Carlos Molina or Emmanuel Taylor anybody better then that will beat Broner.

If anyone in their right mind believes that Broner would've taken on Maidana without Devon Alexander shutting the Argie down... I have a bridge to sell you. Very low miles. PM for details.

I don't understand the argument that he wouldn't took the fight. No matter what Alexander did Broner could have still ducked him.

The argument is: Broner had never faced a fighter before who represented a significant risk/that he didn't outweigh by a metric shit-tonne. No-one against whom the deck wasn't stacked.

Are you really saying that if, say, Maidana had bludgeoned Alexander, Broner's people would've been hot on the phone to the Argie?

What other magnificent challenges has he faced that lead you to the conclusion he fought Maidana out of honour & a thirst for glory, pray?

PS: That bridge, mush, it's very shiny. I swear, it'll look great in your garden...

PPS: Maidana's showing vs Floyd has done wonders to erase people's memories. I seem to recall a one-eyed fat Morales giving him a boxing lesson for most of the fight. You evidently don't.

The Ponce or the Kickett fight were tough 50/50 fights and test. Some people thought he lost to Ponce and Quintero were tough fights.

Willie Kickett...? Who had been clean sparked in one fvcking round by... Uh, Ahmed Elomar?

& former superbantamweight Ponce De Leon?

Were "dangerous fifty-fifty fights"?

I hope you never bet, sir, or are in possession of huuuuuuuuuuge amounts of money.

PS: Also, I'd get your eyes checked. I'd bet you dollars to doughnuts he outweighed both of them by at least ten pounds by the time they got in the ring.

Yeah I betand got paid when Broner beat the Shiite out of Litzau. Even if Ponce was a super bantam and still was competive with Broner. His 130 & 135 run was a joke but he's been in tough. He not an ATG but a world class fighter. Has he got easy fights yes but he's been challenged to and loss. He fought Maidana it doesn't make sense if you say "if this would have happened" he wouldn't fought Maidana he did and loss. Morales wasn't giving Maidana no boxing lesson. Winky Wright over Tito Trindad was a boxing lesson or Rigo over Donaire. A boxing lesson can't be a fight he loss by decision

Broner is a d1ck but I like the lad. He's already been in more exciting fights than Floyd has in his entire career.

He will probably end up broke & brainless but as long as I get my gratuitous violence that's all that matters
