Frochy still hasn't struck that chord

I know it's only a reality show but the first time it's opened up to the public vote he finds himself in the bottom two, even though he was well up the leaderboard.

It's a crying shame that the general public have never taken to him.

I havent been watching but I've heard he's not great. Very strong apparantly but rather uncoordinated. People who have actually been watching it can correct me on that though.

On the plus side, though, super cougar Nadia deffo wants a go on The Cobra's beam.

He was well up the leaderboard this week. He lost a popularity contest is all. He's stll in though, Nadia saved him.

It's hardly surprising given his post-Groves I behaviour, that was one of his highest profile fights, a lot of the people who tuned in for that didn't see him fight the Taylor's, Pascal's, Bute's etc

Also, he simply doesn't have the personality for it, or at least he doesn't seem to on tv. I watched a sky doc on Naseem Hamed last night, and love him or hate him he had a personality that was made to be hugely popular. Froch doesn't have that for me, neither did Joe Calzaghe as he was dull too but he came across as an okay bloke most of the time, Carl always seems quite combative to me. Perhaps that lack of recognition is why.

Most people who watch/vote on the show won't even know who he is

Great fighter & that's what he's respected for. He's personality is cold,hArd & serious. He don't have charisma

I think it's more a case that Carl's fan base aren't the kind of people to vote on a reality tv show, compared to Girls aloud and steps fans who are the typical demographic for that show

Poor Carl. There's a different thread every day on how aloof and uncharismatic he is!

No one gave joe the dullard this much stick when he completely flopped on strictly.

Yep it's just horses for courses, this reality TV show garbage doesn't suit a dedicated sportsman like Froch who doesn't really have the outgoing personality that will make people take to him who don't already know him.

End of the day these crap shows are watched by mums/kids/families. You really think they know or care who Carl Froch is? These things always just become a popularity contest of who is the most well-known and the housewive's favourite, unfortunately (fortunately?) for Carl he's not really going to be that.

....I saw Carl do this whole arty, floor routine and bizarrely twirling and catching a motorcycle tyre.

He was actually pretty good although the nice girl is he was performing with seemed about to wet her leotard every time the tyre got launched her way.

I just think it's a shame that he's not revered by the mums/kids/families of the land. He should be.

Groves is the one with the crossover appeal. If he'd won the rematch he'd have become a household name. He has the charm and winning smile to capitalise on that.

Did you ever see Froch on the Weakest Link? A slow motion car crash where the only casualty was his personality.

Still, he's a badass between the ropes.

Carl is doing well skills wise on the programme. He does come across a little arrogant imo tho which I think you need to be a good boxer. However the British public just won't understand that.

I caught the first one but none since, but ive just youtube'd it and his leather jacket /motorbike routine was not that awful actually. Does a few moves like a forward somersault - but yeah it's not my type of television.

I quite like Froch, but don't watch this.

Take from that what you will.
