What a fight! Both these guys put on a great display tonight both landing some very clean shots and rocking each other :) a very good fight for Scottish boxing... Everyone were on the edge of there seats! Both boys should hold there chins high and be proud! Also an amazing promotion by saltire boxing! & Iain Wilson :) keep up the good work

I'm gutted

I was hoping Thain would go on to win a world title. He has the hottest mum in boxing.

Was an absolute cracker of a fight and both fighters were very evenly matched although I'd agree that Carslaw deserved the victory as he seemed to look the stronger of the two.

Looks like someones gonna need to provide a pic on here of the hottest mum in boxing. lol

been tipped off about this mum chat.

heard it was an exciting fight however neither would touch Liam Smith who's a little special and if he gives it up Liam Williams may well dictate the LMW scene

Thought I might have seen you there mate, it was a good show and well run by saltire promotions!

I'd agree that Liam Smith is levels above the rest around the weight. Thain and Carslaw are good fighters but Thain will likely be limited by his lack of power whilst Carslaw's height may hold him back when hes in with better opponents who can keep him on the outside.

On the positive side tho, Thain has a great work rate and Carslaw seems very awkward and would cause anyone problems when hes at his best.

Liam Williams at present is the lad coming through at the weigh, Liam Smith is a very talented boxer who I could see fight for a world title in the next 12 months.
Kris is a fine fighter but has been found wanting at the next level and I see that happening again should he fight Williams

Thought the judges scores were a little wide, I had Carslaw winning 96-94. Excellent fight, i think most were expecting a chess match between the 2

i agree with you abut teh scores. john looked to be v improvd since teh heffron fight but kris looked like the fighter evryone thought he would be on saturdy. he looked v strong and v hungry to get the win but john will come agan
