Yesterday we see Jamie's dad murdered in cold blood in a Irish bar and allegedly linked to the crime lords that have the gym . Recently Jamie Moore blasted outside the bosses house and now this !
I feel for the boxers like Saunders ,Mathews ,stalker, Fitzgerald and so on and can't see them staying there well if they have a little bit of sanity they won't . Mathew Macklin bolted away to gallaghers gym quicker than usain bolt can run and the others won't be far behind .
They have obviously got some serious enemies on their case and who will be next ? I wouldn't like to be anywhere near that place , you could end up in a bad situation especially as the victims and crime lords will look for revenge.
I seen all over the internet Eddie Hearn went over , allegedly did they linked up with I film . The gym seemed to be buzzing and all reports I read on twitter was positive that the people where treated well and so on . This is just like a movie
Rip to Jamie's dad and hope no one else gets caught up in this obvious war that's going on , is this the end of MGM marbella ?

Probably , boxing as always been linked to villains from the early days the nice women and gangsters and firms of gangs have always been there . But when it looks like the gym is being targeted or the people backing the gym are . It's pretty obvious the boxers will scarper and not many would even think of going over to join

He was a man who dealt in pain and misery. Not sure I can feel too sorry for someone who clearly lived by the sword and who ultimately fell on it.

The boxers associated with these people should keep their distance from them, that's obvious but I suspect the villains like being associated with fighters and the reflected glory that could come with it so they might not be easy to shake.

I remember Macklin saying in last months BM that he felt that the sun was a big factor for fighters wanting to come over and train in Marbella which is surely true so if i were him I'd seriously think about closing the gym ASAP and if he does still want to run a gym then hopefully he can try and open up one somewhere else abroad,somewhere where the locals are a little less trigger happy

The locals aren't the problem though, its the drug dealing Irish gangsters Macklin is involved with which is causing all the problems!

A good many of the MGM lads are managed by Daniel Kinahan the son of the Kinahan firm's leader.

Derry Matthews, Brad Saunders, Iain Butcher, Deco Geraghty and Tom Stalker, amongst others, have a business relationship with the Kinahan's over and above just using the MGM as a warm weather training base.

tricky one as its probably villains money behind the gym. a straight businessman may well not have considered it a good investment.

It's know secret who the kinahans are now & it is what it is.

Say what you want about joe gallagher but when this gym was being dubbed the wildcard of Europe and all different camps were setting up over there, you didn't see gallagher n co rushing over, it must of bin known in boxing circles what the set up included.

Gallagher's now training Macklin again though and I'm almost certain it was him that started everything off by getting involved with the Kinahan's.
