Kell Brooks stab wound......

Turns out somebdy tried to take his leg off with a machete - they reckon he will be ready to fight again around February, possibly going straight in against Khan. Looking at that wound a February date sounds far fetched and going straight in against Khan after recieving a wound like that would not be very clever IMO!

That's what I'm thinking- the extent of it is a bit understated in press reports. That is a horrible wound and I'm now wondering how Kell survived the attack as his assailant probably had the intent to kill.

They should have banned knife attacks then this wouldn't have happened!

Kidding of course :salut:

But in all seriousness, that is a terrible wound. I hope he is able to fully recover, not just physically but mentally as well. Wish him all the best and hope they find the criminal behind this.

Worst joke I've heard!

Jokes have punchlines :box:

It was more of a tongue in cheek commentary on some of the gun debates that have been going on in the off topic section.

I think knife attacks are banned. Definitely are in Britain. Not sure about Tenerife.

I've been, knife attacks are legal, they are a popular passtime for many residents of the island. Stabbing parties are held regularly, they can go on all night, the last man standing turns off the lights.

Really didn't expect the injury to be that bad, you hear stab wound and immediately think of a puncture to the skin, not someone's leg hanging off!

To say it could seriously hamper his movement, seems an understatement and it will probably take a year or two off his career, surely?

I doubt they'll go straight in for Khan(a fighter with great speed and movement) without testing the waters, unless the money outweighs that option.

Poor KB.. This will have multiple effect on him, besides the layoff which will delay some fights and his physical condition, the momentum of his recent win will slowly die a bit.

What happened to the criminal?

Amateurish blade work. He will be fine. It is nowhere near as bad as this thread is describing. Appears to be a slash, not a hack.

Khan needs to hire a pro next time.

Thanx for that ALI. Must admit the information coming out about this has been a bit fuzzy. Let's hope he does make the full recovery he hopes for. Looks like he fell victim to somebody who wanted to take a short cut (no pun intended) to "hardman" status.
