Bantamweight official HOF Nominations?

I have been struggling a bit about who to create an official nomination for. The Bantamweight season was probably the most evenly balanced in memory, I normally about 4/5 HOF nominations but I'm not sure about this season.

Would like to hear people's thought on who deserves a HOF nomination. If any?

Eder Jofre. He avenged each of his defeats and won everything except for the Million Dollar Tournament in which he made it to the finals only to lose on a cuts stoppage in a fight he may have been on his way to winning.

With so many owners gone, we might not have enough for a fair voting system?

I would nominate Jofre and Herman.

I nominate them in order of ranking of the top three.

That's the way to do it......simple and sane.

Or...by who had the most wins....another sure fire sensible approach.

This was a very even season, and the only true standout to me was Jofre.

At one point Herman seemed a lock.

As it is. There is only one person in the conversation and that's Jofre.

When you break down Herman's 7 losses:

1. SD to Rigo (Close fight)
2. Jofre TKO in the 8th (Broken jaw, up on cards)
3. Pacman KO 15 (Got caught, way ahead on all cards)
4. Jimmy Carruthers (Even fight DQ loss)
5. Gomez MD (Thought I won)
6. Pacman TKO 3rd (Ref stepped in)
7. Morales SD (Thought I lost)

Herman drew and beat Rigo. Beat Pac twice by clear decision. Drew with Carruthers in a rematch. Beat Gomez by a clear decision. Beat Morales by clear decision. Drew twice with Jofre, one was a clear win.

There wasn't any fighter I look back on and honestly think was clearly better than Herman. Sure, record wise Jofre had an edge, being a power puncher. Still, Herman stood toe to toe with him 3 fights and nobody could say he looked far less than Jofre....

He never faced off with Barry.

What's your excuse?

I'll let this go a little while longer, but it does look like Jofre will be our only Graduate.

I think Pete Herman should be inducted also.

Jimmy Barry.......exceeded all expectations....and is the upset in the applecart.

Who knew we would be responsible for "Jimmying" the season?

it's the hall of FAME......not the hall of SKILL. Jimmy's name was known by all, he caused all the excitement, and intrigue.

He had all your yaps flappin from the gitgo.

Let's give Jimmy Barry JUST WHAT HE DESERVES!

I tried a few times. Buzz just gets worse and worse with every new season.

geto, I surely do NOT get worse with every season, that's a callous thing to say....(though my first season was PERFECT...and it's hard to up ones game from there.

You are entirely too critical.

by the way, I would clean your clock in a game of poker.

Though I doubt you would have a seat at the table once you took a gander at the stack of chips in front of me, combined with the look of hopelessness on my opponents....(including the dealer).

Jimmy Barry had a great season, I was shocked when he beat Morales after the MDT but he fought too many low level cpu's to be considered despite his great record, I'd even go as far as to say that George Dixon had a better season than Barry.

We enlist typical software talent, train to perfection, inspire and motivate, following up with high expectations and a demand for excellence.

We rested and developed Barry, so he was ready to take on Morales, and fight the best, typically achieving split decisions at worst.

So....we end up with great results from lower level fighters.

We are the working man's management team.

In the spirit of

Braddock
Graziano
Douglas

We achieve surprising/unexpected results. Bullying and Sullying along the way.

It looks like Eder Jofre will be our only HOF entry this season.

I'd like to try and get this all sorted out before the beginning of the next draft (Monday October 13th) so I've drawn up Official Nominations for Jofre & Herman. I don't quite think that Jimmy Barry or George Dixon have done enough to deserve a nom.

But if the public want it, they'll get it.

The public got disgruntled when Barry's nomination was lampooned.

It was serious business.
