Just noticed Young Fury lost last night on the Hennessy bill. Tyson Fury has tweeted that he was robbed and seems to think the BBoC was behind it? Did anyone see the fight?

I was wondering the same, can't find any real report of the fight? Would be interested to see it, or just hear what really happened.

I didn't see the fight. Young Fury looks like a kid to me and he's fighting grown men, a loss or two while he's learning doesn't matter.

He fought an lost to another gypsy my mate Henry Smith last night , they couldn't of done their home work on my mate Henry as he's a double ABAs Jnr champion and has won two prizefighter tournaments back to back in white collar , fornicate me i think in one of those tournaments he KOed 4 men in one night ...not the type of a opponent u want for a 18 year old lad that had no Amateur experience like young fury .
I said when i was told they was fighting that i thought it was to much to ask for such a young kid with just two fights under his belt .
In all fairness let's give Young Fury some respect , win lose or draw to get in there an fight a man of such high experienced like Henry at such a young age demands respect in my opinion but it wasn't the smartest of opponents to pic thats for sure .

it was a last minute replacement for Radek Linka but the point remains Young fury has turned over too young and can expect some losses to mature experienced men like Smith. He is too small too not like Tyson who has a real advantage with his size.

Smith's lighter and shorter, but he's an old-school fighter with a good punch.

Judging by Henry Smith's fight v Courtney Richards a few months ago I thought it was a huge risk too. Guy is a warrior.

I think it does matter putting a young lad in with more experianced fighters can damage ones health, not only physically but mentally. Pushing the kid too hard too early will destroy his career.

That's a fair one, I have seen guys sickened by a good hiding but from what I've heard Young Fury did okay in there considering he was far less experienced than the other bloke.

Although obviously a big lad he doesn't look that big for a modern day heavy and looks to be carrying timber.

Cruiser would prob suit him better but how many times have we said that about certain heavyweights over the years....

Totally agree. Its a big ask for a young and inexperienced boxer like Young Fury to make such a huge step up so soon. One thing I cannot understand is, why are the Fury's so keen to rush their younger siblings? The same thing happened to Hughie Fury. He's still a young man and a work in progress but he was rushed into too many fights in such a short space of time. Hughie's a fantastic talent and if he's allowed to mature and progress naturally he could really go places.

Im not sure Hughie was rushed quite as fast as Young Fury... He wasnt boxing fighters ranked that highly until his 6th pro fight (Im only going by BoxRec rankins), plus he won gold at the AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships, so had some good quality amateur experience, it would appear Young Fury had/has none...

Heres a question... Once you turn pro, can you then go back and become amateur???

Yes, but only if you have had 4 or less pro fights.

Also, you cannot compete in the ABA's or box internationals for at least 12 months after returning amateur (this used to be the rule, it might have changed with the recent WSB etc.).

Fury's just love a scrap! Even if they are talentless they become boxing pro's in that family. Really someone should tell Young Fury to get a proper job as he is not good enough to be a boxer. Crazy.

it seems to be a traveller thing they have little patience. this lad shouldn't be anywhere near a pro ring until he is over twenty even then he may well not have the talent of his brother or cousin who also turned pro too early and in my opinion is being rushed back after a severe virus.

Another upset in scotland at the weekend when the previoulsy unbeaten Ryan Collins 8-0 lost to Abdon Ceaser who was 0-4 also on points. You dont see that happening often.

Interesting re the home fighter thing as on the results page this indicated that Groves opponent was the "home" fighter.
