KO wins by UD

KO didn't win this fight... Buitrago boxed from the backfoot using his straight punch arsenal to catch KO from distance and used liver work when KO got closer. KO walked him down trying to land big hooks, missing a lot and being off balance. Yes KO was the aggressor but imo he was far from the most effective. In the second half, Buitrago started to move and throw a little less and KO was still as active. But again i doubt he was the most effective. Home town decision here IMO.

Thai conditions are a REAL bitch to fight in. This one was fought indoors, thankfully, but the out door fights are damn near impossible for visitors. Although indoors the crowd went CRAZY every time Knockout landed anything at all. The first round was a clear Buitrago round but the crowd had a fit the few times the Thai actually landed something. Through the middle rounds it was close and competitive. In the final round Knockout did nothing and gave away the round, suggesting he "knew" the result.

Personally I had this as a "could go either way" type of fight, enough close rounds to see 115-113 either way without much complaint.

The under card bout between Palangpol and Tommy Seran was entertaining though the broadcast softly cut out before the bout finished v_v

If you judge by aggression, Might justify a close card... But if you judge the way it's supposed to be, effective aggresion, then it's clearly Buitrago.

& the name-change only lasts as long as you're paying. That's why Medgoen Singsurat became Medgoen 3K-Battery-Corp & then Medgoen Toyota-Thailand.

I believe that the guy who owns the gym that the Thai fighters work out of sells the rights to a big company and they use that company name after their christian name. It's why when people talk about them they refer to them by their first name.

Let me check and get back to you guys.

In another matter, if the scorecards are this close I usually think the guy on the road probably won. Tough to win in Thailand. Maybe the toughest place in the world to go to and win.

Ok guys, I checked with a friend in Thailand and he got back to me.

As you might already know, Thai boxers mostly started from Muay Thai and they started very young. When they started with Muay Thai, they usually get new names that have good/powerful meaning or that catch the ears of the audiences. For example, Srisaket is name of the province where Srisaket Sor Rungvisai was born and first fought, so it is easy to remember; Khaosai related to mountain, so it sounds powerful. However, some of the boxers stick with their original names. When they turned to professional boxing, some of the boxers change names again but some use the Muay Thai names. As a tradition, most Muay Thai boxers and professional boxers use their fighting last names as the name of their trainers or gyms. This is used to represent where the boxers were educated from or who are their teachers/trainers etc. It is the tradition from long history.

Imma start a gym called And The New Champion in Thailand so when my fighters when a title the announcer will be like "And the new champion Chaichoi And The New Champion". Some of the audience is gonna be so confused.
