Bellew Vs. Cleverly 2 should not be PPV - online petition

Not happy about this fight being on SKY Box Office? Sign the online petition, which will be presented to Matchroom Sports and SKY within the next couple weeks.

http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/tony ... uld-not-be

Not sure it'll make much of a difference however SKY and Eddie need to know we are sick of being mugged off. I accept PPV is needed from time to time but surely it has to be reserved for mega fights?

Signed. Undecided if I'm going to cancel sky sports. I'm going to sleep on it I think. Can't remember the last sky show I really enjoyed.

Point me to an online petition that's had any significant impact in the real world and I'll sign away.

I hear the word "boycott" & think "Muesli belt".

Direct action, yes. "Boycott", no.

I assume this petition will be as successful & impactful as all those ones to save the NHS.

Seen Frank has just signed...

Comments: £15 to watch two failed light heavyweights fight at cruiser? No thanks! You can watch two proper light heavyweights: Hopkins vs Kovalev on allegedly for just £12! You also get to watch our great channel for the rest of the month! Enjoy

Frankly I think the thing that will show Sky not to do PPV on unworthy fights will be when they get under 500 buys.

I very much doubt whether it will remain PPV. I certainly can't imagine many takers for it. Both these boxers talk a good game, but when it comes down to it they're both on a downward trajectory in their careers. There'll be so few takers that it will be switched to normal Sky late on, just like the Khan v McCloskey one was.

I'm certainly not paying extra to watch this one and will be scouring the internet for a way to watch for free, whereas if it was on normal Sky I'd watch it. If this is the start of things to come I'll be cancelling Sky though. I only keep it for the boxing, so I'm buggered if I'm paying twice!

A little over 4 years ago, Warren put on his Magnificent 7 card on Sky PPV to a mostly positive reception - a lack of a stand out headline but decent depth. Is that card really much different from this one?

Yes, there was originally 7 close fights on it, this one has 1!

By fight night, it was known as the mediocre 4.

Half the show fell apart.

A guy i know had his nose broken and his wife got a black eye, from Hall fans when he lost to Anthony Abdul ISIS Small.

All they did was politely clap the winner and this nutter just lashed out, security didn't do a thing. Then they ran off.

No, you're not. I was at the Hall-Small fight, on the undercard of Kotelnik-Khan... GOmez often bends the truth when it suits his agenda.. The main fight on the Magnificent 7 card should have been future Matchroom boys Macklin v Barker, unfortunately, Barker pulled out. Hardly Fwanks fault. I wish he'd have pulled out against Sturm instead of conning everybody. One of the biggest con jobs I have seen, up there with Nicky Cook.

They were generally 70:30 bouts. Only upset was Maccarinelli losing to Frenkel.

Have to lack at Frank signing this. Wasn't it scheduled to be on PPV when they had the drama of the weighing scales.

Bellew was a last minute replacement for Braehmer. That was a nominal main event, DeGale-Groves was the main attraction and all the Sky hype was built around that fight.

Was it on that card? my mistake - but the guy got beat up bad, and so did his wife (her first show and she was apprehensive about going)

Regardless, the Mag 7 fell apart and it was mediocre - DEFO not ppv material. No agenda there fella.

To add balance, theat promoter's channel in november is Hopkins Kovalev, Paquiao and Fury vs Chisora for 12 squids.
