Could be another David Haye in that he's an unfortunate weight, too small for most guys at heavy but will be inclined to move up anyway.

he is a very good boxer but he doesn't seem to be a real puncher, isn't he? he has won all of his 4 wins by KO but those were bums and often late KOs.

not sure if his style is suited for the pros like for example beterbiev (who also was a very good amateur but has a lot of pop). I'm not saying he is a soft hitter but probably he is not a puncher like medzhidov or beterbiev either.

Yeah Usyk is more of a boxer than those guys and is not as aggressive to the point of being negligent hence why he might not look as devastating but he definietly can punch but more importantly for me and will take him further, he has the skills to supplement it. Ps who was the russian southpaw I watched the other day? He was a light heavyweight and is around about 5-0 or something. His name begins with M aswell. I really liked the look of him aswell. He was another brilliant amateur.

Thanks Anson, good stuff as always. Usyk is going to be huge within a few years, IMO. He could probably fight for a belt late next year if he keeps fighting every few months.

Great jab, but I think he could of finished that a fair bit earlier.

Bruwer was essentially a punching bag but Usyk showed good movement and jab and did what he needed to do

His style seems to rely too much on bending his knees, and i believe it will shorten his career pretty decisively.
Especially when you don't have the power to quickly end a fight.
