Magazine/book collection for good home!!!!!!!!!!!

Long story short - I have a load of boxing magazines and books (around ten boxes worth) that I'm happy to give away to any avid collector out there who would like them.

I'm not a collector myself, I ended up with them after a relative of an ex, who previously wrote for the Irish Times on boxing, died, no one else in the family was able to take them and they knew I boxed. I sorted them out and stuck them in boxes but otherwise have done nothing with them since. I'm moving house at the start of next month and to be honest I'd rather someone who appreciated them had them than they sat in an attic unused for the next twenty years.

The bulk of the magazines are Boxing Monthly's (there are only 22 issues missing from 1989-2013) plus there are a variety of Boxing News, The Ring, Boxing Illustrated, Boxing Outlook, World Boxing, KO Magazine, Boxing **, Boxing Weekly and Boxing Digest.

There are also programmes for Sibson v Minter, Hatton v MaGee, Holyfield v Lewis I, Brodie v Chi, Harrison v Chacon, Tyson v Savarese, Jones v Tarver I, etc plus BBBofC yearbooks from 1986-2005 (plus other yearbooks) and a bound edition of all the 1960 Ring issues. There are also several boxes of various boxing books up to around 2003/4 - mainly from the 80's and 90's.

If anyone is interested they would have to be taken this month and picked up from Central Scotland. I'm not going to give them away to some chancer who just wants to sell the decent stuff and bin the rest, I'd much rather they went to someone who collected this stuff and enjoyed them.

Any money given I'll pass on to my ex's family - I'm not doing this to make anything, I just don't want them all to go to waste.

Any interest just PM me and I'll help however I can.

Wow. I would love this but logistically it would be a nightmare to pick up (this month). Hopefully it goes to a good home.

I'll probably do that if there is no interest here but ideally I'd rather they went to someone who wanted them rather than just the highest bidder who'd probably chuck half of it and re-sell the valuable stuff. I got them for nowt so I'm happy todo the same if someone is keen

I'm in the north east but half tempted to drive up for these if they are still available? I'm a voracious reader of old boxing mags and this sounds like my best ever Xmas present.

Guys

I've now got TheGoods and black panther who have both expressed an interest so I'm going to put this on hold at the moment to see if either both or one of them can take them this month. If no luck then I'll repost on here asap.

Many thanks for all your help.

Guys

Black Panther has taken the boxing books but I still have seven boxes worth of boxing magazines (details listed in first post) available if anyone is interested?

They would need to be collected or picked up via courier within the next two weeks but I'm really just looking for a good home for them :TU:

If interested get in touch asap.

I've still got the boxing magazines mentioned in the original post available for free if anyone wants them? Six boxes worth, I've got a note of the weights and sizes of the boxes if anyone is interested in using a Courier to pick them up.

Just looking for them to go to a good home as it seems a shame to throw them out. Just PM me if you're interested or need any info.

Cheers

John
