Geale vs Fletcher

Looks like it's official, and it's a good matchup considering both men are coming off losses.

Foley vs Broadhurst on the card might be a show stealer as well.

Both need a confidence building win. But only one will get it and I think it will be Daniel Geale.

The losers career at the top level is pretty much finished, while the winner (unless it's really close) is a clear Top 10 middleweight and contender for a title (just not against GGG!).

I think Geale wins a competitive but clear, 116-112 type decision.

Crucial fight for both. A loss for either would mean a career rethink. Particularly if Geale were to lose.

116-112 Geale is about how I see it panning out too.

It will be interesting to see whether Geale comes aggressively like he did against Garth Wood and pursues a KO.

Not sure that Fletcher is a clear top 10 MW with a win.

Perhaps not. But it would certainly enhance his ranking.

Win or lose there's no way he's top 10 material.
Be very surprised if he could decision Geale.
Fletcher would struggle against improving domestic MW Michael Zerafa.

Really like Daniel but what is the future for him do you think?
12 rounds against a guy who was KO'D early by a world class opponent last up.
I think he needed a convincing early win to be considered a legit contender.

Geale has never had much power so I don't see many problems with the fact that he didn't win by stoppage and a harder puncher like Jacobs did. I'd put the discrepancies of those results mainly down to power and not overall ability.

I think he took it a bit easy on him too.

Geale will deny it, but at times it appeared it was two mates sparring. geale could have pressured him the way he did garth and would have stopped it. Credit to Fletch, he fought on well. Good win for daniel but I wouldve liked to see a stoppage - he had several chances to push for it.

I thought Geale could have finished him in the 9th I think it was.

That is the reality of it. When Geale floored Fletcher in the 5th he certainly wasn't playing around and there's no way Geale would have risked losing as it would have been the end for him on the world scene if he had.
