Yeah Eddie hints at a big name being added to the 22nd card with an official announcement next week. I dunno whether it is Haye but that would certainly fit the bill in terms of being a big name.

I think we all know he is gonna be in with a guy who he is going to beat convincingly provided his shoulder is 100%. I'd guess someone like Charr who he was due to face that while back, it might even be below that level tho.

Get in! Another 95/5 type fight to join McDonnells and Joshua's - great news for the casuals and thus PPV buys. Wouldn't mind not seeing him in the ring again to be honest.

If true, let's hope he can provide us with more thrills than promises.

If it is Haye, Eddie will go into overdrive with how well he is treating PPV buyers, when in reality, it will be a knock over job. One or two rounds at most.

Il never forgive him for all his empty promises about what he was gonna do against Wlad. Then his behaviour in the press conference (toegate).

I would love to see him back, but he talks so much shit I won't believe it's happening until he's in the ring.

I would guess that the WBC belt would be his target given the holder. Charr is rated #15 so would make sense or he could make a statement and fight Mike Perez who is rated #4.

He would also have to fight often to get into contention, and he doesn't seem interested in fighting more than once a year, based on previous interviews.

He seems to want to target the top again, not sure how he can find a route there unless he pulls some outrageous stunt and lands an undeserved shot at someone

I seem to remember an IFL interview where he stated he would be more active in order to work his way back to title contention. Of course what he says and what he does don't always coincide.

I know he has plenty of doubters but I'd be happy to see him back. A fast, powerful, mobile & exciting HW. Surely it can't be a bad thing bar any big fight pull-outs.

I suspect David will pick his fights very carefully. He will not fancy fighting a Joshua too soon but the public may demand it and he will lose a lot of credibility next year if Joshua starts making some progress.

All talk of Joshua v Haye is incredibly premature. AJ is at least 2 years from fighting peoples the calibre of Haye. Their careers are at vastly different points, and they will not meet in the foreseeable.

I disagree Haye is a small heavyweight & in a few fights time will be taylor made for Joshua. Also in 2 years Haye will be long gone.

While I respect your points, I haven't seen anywhere near enough of Joshua's defensive capabilities to suggest he could cope with an explosive, powerful counter puncher like Haye. Don't get me wrong, the fight intrigues me, but I feel Haye has been overlooked in favour of hyperbole slightly here.

Haye has good head movement, footwork and reflexes. None of Joshua's pro opponents to date have those attributes.

It'll probably be against someone who's 4 foot tall and 4 foot wide.

Why do people want to see Joshua hurried along to fight genuinely world class people? Do they not remember David Price?
