The articles about the fight say he's never been down. Parker said that in an interview as well.

I've never seen the Washington-Williams fight so I can't deny or confirm it.

Williams down vs Washington

IMO Parker has serious pop and will end up hurting Williams. He showed his pop was effective as he stepped up. That speed is pretty good too.

I'll post Hls later, card starts at 4am east NYC time

Pretty big step down from Brian Minto, but not worth complaining about. It's a 12-rounder, and Sherman is basically made of iron, so it's actually kind of an epic learning experience for Parker. Also, this is Parker's third fight in 3.5 months, which is pretty sweet.

I agree but it's not a BIG step down either and a chance to make a statement on his power like he did vs Botha and Minto. I also think this is pretty much the best they can do for now even though they have a good all around promo game revolving around Parker with the promoter, the sky ppv network, the sponsor in Hydro and Sheridan making comments on the broadcasts... THey are seeking "names" and the undercards are usually terrible... But still they are able to give him good progression fights and i like how well he looks in decent tests.

I believe that at this particular stage of young Parker's career that "Tank" Williams is a perfect opponent for the budding contender.
Sure, when it comes to his skills & his record, Williams is somewhat less impressive than Brian Minto. But, with his awkward style & his superior durability, "Tank" will likely give a longer, tougher figh than Minto did two fights back.
Personally, I love how Parker's people have kept him busy & put him in with the type of heavies that will test him & prepare him for his inevitable bouts w/ top 10-top 20 contenders that are certain to come during the first few months of 2015.

I heard he was fighting again in December.

12 rounds? I can't help but feel like Parker might tire as Sherman really is a brick wall.

Oh it's started
