Just noticed this fight think it could be a very good fight. After losing a split decision eliminator last time out shows ronnie attitude by taking a 50-50 fight on the road. Evans unbeaten in 12 but imo this is his first proper test. Whats people's thought's. ....

Good fight for ronnie to be taking, craig inactive and highly rated and ronnie coming off a
Split loss, shocked in his first test he's chose to box another southpaw.

He may as well take on another lefty as he's been in training for one for quite a while as the original date with Troy was postponed. Could be near on a 6 months preparing for a lefty so probably no better time to take one on.
Good luck to you Ronnie

I think Craig is a very very good fighter and just shows Ronnie's attitude. I think Craig is probably the most talented fighter at SuperFeather.. Craig's team pulled him out the last time obviously fancy the job this time.. Very hard fight for Ronnie sure it will be above the Super Feather limit as well.. Another fight away from home surely he will get the decision this time ha

Craig Evans is very good excellent amateur pedigree as well, credit to Ronnie IMO this is much harder than troy James fight as well

Billy I agree to a certain extent.. Craig is better than Troy in my opinion.. But styles make fights.. Craig will actually box and throw punches. Troy countered and stayed very low.. This is another genuine 50/50 look at the card from Warren Ormond v Flannigan and Leather v Rhys Evans gonna be hard to call a winner from those 3 fights..

I agree with both Billy and David on this. Evans for me is a harder fight for Ronnie and I also think Evans is a very good fighter. Spoke to Ronnie about Evans a few times as I am a big fan of his. Just shows the attitude if Ronnie. This will be his 4th time travelling down south 3 of the 4 have been unbeaten at the time of fight. Very hard fight for Ronnie but av said it before, he's capable of beating any Superfeather in a fair fight.

Flanagan will beat Orman I'd think, Evans is a very big SFW and well schooled, I see him standing infront of Ronnie and just being a little cleverer wilth his superior skills

This is a Liam Williams v Ronnie Heffron situation. Demolition job and another Welsh star is born.

That's clearly not going to happen. Craig is very good but so is Ronnie.. No one will demolish Ronnie he had a excellent chin and can bang.. Troy hits harder than Craig and didn't even hurt Ronnie once.. I see this as a harder fight but Craig hasn't been tested at this level.. He will have to take shots.. Be a close decision again..

I personally don't think Craig is better Troy, Troy is very underrated indeed, and is still learning & developing, he still has maybe another 25-30% to give than what people have seen.
Craig is a good, well schooled, sharp lad but who has he boxed competitivley for you to have that opinion you've got Billy ? Which doesn't surprise me anyway, you would say Mickey Mouse & Donald Duck would beat Troy or Chris, same quality opinion has when you thought Ricky was unbeatable. Under estimating someone's ability because don't have the same profile has another fighter is a big mistake, someone of your supposed knowledge should know that, has the saying goes "you must have the skill & the will, but the will especially with a game plan will beat that skill"
Troy sparred a bit with Craig for the Ronnie fight, be good to see how he operates when making 9st 4lb, he's a lovely kid Craig is, really top lad, so is his brother chuckie, but in boxing terms like most southpaws, they love you to come steaming in like a bull in a china shop so they can counter, but suddenly find it hard if you don't do so, most can't fight inside that's why there most effective mid-long range,
I think with the right game plan (which is very important has you move up in levels) Ronnie can do very well indeed in this fight, but must start fast and win early rounds & momentum, I wish him and the team all the very best has I do Craig & Tony Borg who are great people. May the best man win.

I am not going to pretend and say this is an easy fight for Ronnie but I believe in myself and Ronnie and think if we do things correctly in the gym and get a fair crack from the officials then Ronnie can get the win. Craig is a very good boxer and it will be a hard fight but Craig will have to make sure he weighs in at the correct weight!!
Billy I have a lot of time for you but you always seem to give Ronnie no chance when he is fighting, i don't know if it is because of things that have happened in the past but I think you should try and not let personal feeling come into things when you are making predictions!! It's like when one of your fighters are boxing then they are the best in their division or if someone has been in your gym sparring or you have been in their gym then they are the favourite for their fight when you make predictions !! ( I remember how much you hyped Tyrone Nurse and i wasn't impressed with him at all) You know that Ronnie will always have a chance against any British Super Feather and can give them all a decent fight of it, he might not beat them all but they will know they have been in a fight regardless!!
Imo Ronnie is still a relative novice in boxing terms with only a handful of amateur fights and 14 pro fights, he is learning every session and there is more to come.

not at all Dave I thought he could have beaten Troy James, your right he is still inexperienced and massive credit to him for taking this fight, I've said before Ronnie wouldn't shy away from a proper fight but I'm only giving my opinion Evans is a very skilled fighter who hasn't been very active, I think the winner of this fight could and should fight for the British title
I do hope there's more to come from Ronnie because your not daft David fighting for the title is another level up and he will need to improve

Billy Surely with troy james winning 2 eliminators and in that beating ronnie he sud b inline b4 either ronnie or evans (evans mite hav been a good amateur but is untested as a pro. This is his first proper test.)

With Walsh being Sykes mandatory, then Troy James after for the winner, throw in 3 or 4 others that will be looking at British title shots like Buckland and Mitchell Smith and the winner won't be getting a shot unless it's a voluntary. I don't think winning an 8 rounder should really earn a fighter a shot at the British title, but the winner should definitely be in an eliminator in the new year.

U never no with board tho. Troy has won 2 eliminators but neither were a final eliminator. Like u say walsh is mandatory and that fight is set. Board cud easily make a final eliminator troy v mitchell smith or evans sud he beat ronnie cud b mix.

Troy will fight the winner of Sykes Vs Walsh or before if either pull out. The rest are a few fights behind
