The 'Joshua Worship' is starting to get on my nerves already. I get the feeling that if you rolled up Adam Smith's sleeves you'd find that he had written Joshua's name all over his arm...

Every second sentence is them stating that the fans and media mustn't over hype AJ and he must be allowed to blossom slowly and steadily, then they come out with comments like "future of world boxing" and "a better fighter than Lennox was at this stage of his career".
Thankfully I think Joshua can handle the pressure.

I'm amazed anyone bothers watching Ringside anymore, I've completely given up on it. Same old shit every week - same guests, same jokes, same ridiculous hyping of all things Matchroom. For all its faults, Bunce's Boxing Hour is miles better.

Agreed,it's shocking these days and I'd much rather watch BBH or even the BT sport show is a better watch.

Ringside is just wierd these days. I don't get what it is trying to be. What it actually is, is almost pantomime. I mean come on the end of the episode the other week with the Marco Huck/Nelson thing was just cringe worthy. Why are sky even joking about that fight.

Anyways, the Joshua hype is out of control. If I read/hear/see another stat that compares him not just to Lennox but all of the heavyweight greats I might just explode.

Let him be otherwise you're only setting himself and yourself up for a mighty fall. Completely different I know but if the BBC and Audley told us one thing about heavyweights its don't put all your eggs in one basket.

What's the other on allegedly? Boxing Talk or something? That's come across as the best of those style shows that I've seen recently

Boxing Matters? Yeah it's very good & I enjoy it whenever I see it, but often forget about it & my Sky won't put it on series planner for some reason.

That's the one! Best of the 3 by a long way as the the folk on it aren't total suck ups

I just think people, or rather boxing fans are getting excited that someone has come onto the scene that could possibly deliver us a world title or several titles. Its quite refreshing that a young lad has started so so great and is looking good. Give the lad a chance and jump on the band wagon while its happy days.

I wouldn't put it quite as strongly as that. Smith is an established part of the boxing crew and I quite like him being around. Not sure I'd have him as close to the helm as he is though.

I thought I saw him in the audience! Asked my missus for a second opinion but she didn't recognise him, even though she's watched about 200 Ringside episodes with me over the years. She also didn't recognise Ed Robinson when we saw him walking around Marks & Spencers one day, bloody women never pay any attention...

Yeah because your missus is going to be scanning the audience looking at the likes of Adam Smith when there are taut men in their twenties gyrating their hips on the dance floor!

He's clearly knowledgeable and its a bit unfair of me but one of my major problems with Smith is that he looks like the softest guy on the planet and when he's talking about and to warriors it seems a little strange.

He's only following the script about what the latest news is and impending fights.

AJ is big news whether we agree so or not. Surely it's a good thing we have a talented heavyweight gold medallist coming though isnt it?

There's little to write about otherwise in British boxing. I'm not sure what else people are supposed to say / write about.

They are just trying to hype him to the hill so that they can attempt to justify him as their next regular ppv fighter.

He's Sky's head of boxing, he writes the script, he's responsible for the shite we're served up on a regular basis by Hearn and the shite they talk on ringside.
