Golovkin is a bigger draw in California than Ward

Most boxing fans like fearless ring warriors, not prima donnas who rarely fight and demand all the advantages such as home advantage.
They want entertaining fights, not boxers clamping their opponent's arms and fouling.
California is Andre Ward's home state, but Gennady Golovkin, a fearless ring warrior from halfway around the globe, has become more popular there than Ward!
There was a huge demand for tickets for last night's fight. Did you hear crowd cheering for him and chanting Golovkin's name?

Yes he is.
Doesn't make him a better fighter. He isn't. And will lose when they fight.

Haha @ calling Ward a "fighter." Golovkin is the better fighter, but he isn't the better clincher, and that's where Ward has the advantage in a "fight" between the two.

So Mayweather, Hopkins and Wlad can't fight either?

Yes he is. Douche. But Ward won't get in the ring. He's not a fan of that particular activity.
Blah blah yadda yadda lawsuit.
Ward wants none of Golovkin.
None.
EVER

hopkins got beat up by joe and chad and has no business in elite boxing. also he is more boxing than clinching.
wlad should be dq in every fight he is in, he is no boxer, he is a greco roman wrestler....the refs never do their job and dont deduct point and nothing. which isnt surprising to me, because K2 promotion pay for everything, the ref gets paid out good to be an unfair criminal...
floyd sucks....

Just as I suspected. You're an idiot. You need to be watching MMA. Which I also enjoy. I know the difference. When I watch boxing I understand it for what it is. An art. Hit and don't get hit.

Please PDF this thread. That fight will eventually happen.

No. I like guys who use their great skills to come in and try to finish their opponents, not throw a punch or two and hold throughout the fight. Also, street fighting sucks. Sloppy bar room brawl fights suck. What Golovkin does is not street fighting which is what you essentially just called it. Otherwise, I have no idea why you'd say I like street fighting just because I said Golovkin is better at actually fighting. You know, throwing hands and beating a guy down with skill? That kind of thing.
Ward makes Hopkins, Wlad, and Floyd look entertaining.

Agreed ............... but within the rules. If you go strictly by the rules a lot of boxers should be deducted points and yes maybe even disqualified far more often than they are.
As for who wins Ward or Golovkin ........... Golovkin.

Boxing is a sport - not just entertainment. If you want pure entertainment, watch wrestling.
Ward is far from the most exciting fighter, but he is incredibly skilful, the way he handled Froch was incredible, he beat him both on the inside and outside, and was able to control him physically throughout.
It's a shame his career seems to be being wasted in time consuming legal woes - hes one hell of a fighter.

Yes, I do believe it. The fight won't happen. I would love to be wrong.
If it does happen, Ward will be beaten down. No doubt in my mind. And you will have to take it like a man.

When Ward beats GGG all we're hear is Wahh Wahh he held him. Wahh he fights dirty. Wahh Wahh GGG is really better even though he lost every round. I know this will be the case when the fight does happen down the road so there's really no point even discussing it any further when I already know what the excuses will be afterwards. In the meantime GGG lovers will just talk sh*t b/c they know Ward won't fight in the coming months.

Why wouldn't it happen? Both guys will fight another 8 years.
Who the hell is GGG going to fight when he inevitably vacates 160?

Ward beats his ass. Far too much emotion and bias clouding some brains here. Gennady doesn't have the speed in any department to beat Andre. If they do match up, Golovkin will lose.

I doubt that one ever happens. Of course Ward isn't scared, but by the time he's back fighting and ready it will be about 70/30 GGG in terms of a fair split.
I don't really care if they keep offering up gifts of under 6.5 @-160 for these fights. I might retire after a few more.

GGG makes 160 with ease.
