He was 40 when he finally retired in 1976, so I guess he just decided he no longer had the desire to fight on. I dont think this guy is Jofre though.If you do a google images search on Jofre he doesnt look much like this guy.

I dont think I would like to train at this gym though-health and safety not exactly at the forefront.

I didn't see the younger feller disrespecting him - because someone is older and smaller doesn't mean they aren't a shitty little bully who doesn't deserve a fornicating good hiding.

Ya, I don't know the context behind what was occurring but throwing heavy shots while the young guy was turned away after being dropped seemed unnecessary.

Hopefully someone finds out who the redoubtable old guy is (I believe someone in the comments suggested that he's Italian). I don't know how experienced his opponent was, but I wouldn't be surprised if most aged pros could beat up your average 'tough guy' regardless of how young the latter is; years of training, sparring, and fighting go a long way.

To be fair to the younger guy, he seemed to be laughing himself at the end when he was standing by the ropes and everyone else had started laughing. fornicate me that's got to be embarassing though. Even if the guy was a good fighter in his day he's in his mid 60's now so it would still sting no matter what lol

pretty sure he wasn't chuckling when he looked in the mirror later on, realising how fvcking shite he is at boxing.

So they have dodgy type gyms in Italy, at least he stopped soonish , when he realised he was far to good, for what looked like a first timer in the gym, but why was the spar allowed to happen, sorry the hammering.
