Winner?
Murray is mediocre. Spada is a journeyman.lefty wrote:Murray. Spada is mediocre. I dont think Murray is that great in truth but he's still one of the better middleweights in the world.
Murray is world class.ikorolev wrote:Murray is mediocre. Spada is a journeyman.
... which is why he needed a gift against Khomitsky twice ?Horse wrote:Murray is world class.ikorolev wrote:Murray is mediocre. Spada is a journeyman.
He's just big for the weight. If he were world class he would've did to Sergio what Cotto did, and world class fighters beat Felix Sturm. The 3 British MW's Murray Baker & Macklin should have all had a mini tournament before they went looking for world titles, like Eubank & BJS are doing, i think the winner of that bout has better potential than Murray/Macklin/Barker did.Horse wrote:Murray is world class.ikorolev wrote:Murray is mediocre. Martinez's knees were in much worse shape against Cotto. Martinez hadn't recovered from surgery.Ricky_ wrote:He's just big for the weight. Or Murray's performance was much worse than Cotto's, so Sergio's knee problems were not so obvious ...Horse wrote:Martinez's knees were in much worse shape against Cotto. That's not how I see it.ikorolev wrote:Or Murray's performance was much worse than Cotto's, so Sergio's knee problems were not so obvious ...
Horse is a big Murray fan so....ikorolev wrote:Or Murray's performance was much worse than Cotto's, so Sergio's knee problems were not so obvious ...Horse wrote:Martinez's knees were in much worse shape against Cotto. You don't really think Martinez's knees were as bad against Murray as they were against Cotto?lefty wrote:Horse is a big Murray fan so....

Cotto's been a pro over 6.5 years longer than Murray.lefty wrote:Cotto is a better fighter than Murray, hence his achievements in the sport.
Im willing to bet that Murray doesnt win world titles in 4 different weight classes and beat the same calibre of fighters as cotto did.Horse wrote:Cotto's been a pro over 6.5 years longer than Murray.lefty wrote:Cotto is a better fighter than Murray, hence his achievements in the sport.
I am willing to bet that he will not win them in two different weight classes.lefty wrote:Im willing to bet that Murray doesnt win world titles in 4 different weight classes and beat the same calibre of fighters as cotto did.Horse wrote:Cotto's been a pro over 6.5 years longer than Murray.lefty wrote:Cotto is a better fighter than Murray, hence his achievements in the sport.
Weight jumping and belt collecting doesn't matter.lefty wrote:Im willing to bet that Murray doesnt win world titles in 4 different weight classes and beat the same calibre of fighters as cotto did.
He wont beat Golovkin though. Golovkin will beat the absolute hell out of him. That's if he doesnt succumb to the first big shot that GGG lands on him.Horse wrote:Weight jumping and belt collecting doesn't matter.lefty wrote:Im willing to bet that Murray doesnt win world titles in 4 different weight classes and beat the same calibre of fighters as cotto did.
Beating Golovkin would put Murray on Cotto's ATG level. One big win and then there's no big achievement gap.
We'll see.lefty wrote:He wont beat Golovkin though. Golovkin will beat the absolute hell out of him. That's if he doesnt succumb to the first big shot that GGG lands on him.
You seriously think that the guy with the ear muff defense can beat GGG ? He will likely duck Golovkin again. I already heard him saying that "if Macklin won't fight me, I am going after Golovkin". I bet Macklin or somebody else beatable will fight him.Horse wrote:We'll see.lefty wrote:He wont beat Golovkin though. Golovkin will beat the absolute hell out of him.
