Billy Joe Saunders vrs Chris Eubank Jnr. Who will win?

Eubank Jnr boxes tonight, potentially jeopardising his match up with Saunders (which is in just 4 weeks time) if he is injured, but presuming he doesn't pick up an injury who do you think will win between Saunders & Eubank jnr?

I am sticking with Saunders at this point in time......just a bit too seasoned/knowledgeable at this stage, he holds the belts so Eubank will have to force things and that suits BJS just fine.

Different matter in 6 months time...but the fight is next month, and whilst I think Chris Junior will give BJS plenty to think about...the timing seems premature.

Must admit I lean towards Eubank but I might be being fooled by the difference in class of their opponents. Saunders didn't look that great until he landed the big punch to clinch the European title, but he was fighting for the European title against an undefeated opponent whereas Eubank hasn't fought anyone of that level. I'm still smarting from picking Groves to win the rematch with Froch so I emphasize I could be wrong, I'm not sure, but I do lean towards Eubank because he has shown such class and talent at times and he will be so up for this one, think it will bring out the best in him (but then the same things apply to Saunders). A genuine pick em fight but I pick Eubank by early kayo.

I think BJS has found his level and CEJ just MAY have several extra levels in him. I've never warmed to Eubank Jr but Saunder's way of talking makes me wretch, so I hope Chris wins. And I expect him to.

I'm not sure who will win but Saunders is proven at a significantly higher level and I have more confidence in his ability. Eubank has shown promise but he only started blasting out opponents when their quality dropped significantly, so it's hard for me to say how much he's improved since he was being taken the distance by people like Carruthers and Pryce. His recent string of opposition has been quite poor in my view and filled with fighters who aren't durable, which I suspect partially explains his dominance.

This is a huge step up in class for Eubank. And i just cant see him winning. I suspect he is going to be frustrated and eventually end up having his head boxed off.

Eubank is explosive and his power seems to be improving, though his recent level of opponents have been very weak and so his power might not be what it seems. Eubank is explosive however and looks strong. Is he a strong 12 round fighter though?

Saunders is a really good boxer and im sure he knows exactly how to nullify a strong punching opponent.

Such an intriguing fight. Cant wait for this. I have never subscribed to allegedly previously but am tempted for this one.

I still cant see anything but a dominant win for BJS. I'm completely confused by this fight being made and by so many people picking Eubank. I don't even see it being competitive. BJS will be in his face from the opening bell and break him down with ease. He's just way too good for Eubank who looks like he might get found out at British level, let alone European/ fringe world level.... I don't know, so many people seem to fancy Eubank that I must be missing something, so its an interesting fight in that respect. I think Eubank must be like those weird magic eye images for me, I can never see what everyone else sees with those either. :-?

I think a lot of people are going to be shocked. I'm not a fan of either fighter but have seen Jr box and get better over the course. I really dont think we have seen what Jr has when it comes to fighting live bodies. Sure BJS has more competitive experience and obviously any boxing pundit is going to edge him over Jr.

Jr has been brought on slowly, maybe too slowly but still I think there is more to come. I think on the night Jr will show what he has and if he has more than BJS he will win.

I'm on the fence, some days I think Jr is going to do him then I read threads and many people change my mind. Its an intriguing fight but I really dont think we have seen Jr at his best.

I think BJS has probably plateaued, he's won but but not looked exceptional in quite a few fights which i was expecting him to breeze through -

John Ryder is the main one that springs to mind: johns a tough come forward fighter, i was expecting a Murray v Mitchell affair instead BJS scrapped it by 2 rounds.

AND

Blandamura: which was a good finish but he made big job of it and at the end of the day Who TF is Blandamura.

Eubanks Jr on the other hand hasn't even been trying and he's blowing opponents away; even if of a lower caliber - im wondering what happens when he really puts in a shift. I like many suspect he's not shown his hand yet and that hand is going to be a royal flush.

I guess where I'm having trouble is that while most people are saying they think BJS has peaked at Euro level, I'm saying that Eubank isn't even British level right now. For comparison, if Eubank was fighting Ryder, I'd be picking Ryder to beat him too.... I'm not even having a dig at Eubank or the people who are backing him to win and usually even if I don't agree with people I understand where they're coming from, but I just don't get it this time. I think its an easy nights work for BJS and I don't think I'll be convinced otherwise until Eubank knocks him out. I'll be shocked if Eubank wins more that two or three rounds, but I've really got nothing against either fighter, and have no problem with being proved wrong. Its good to see two British fighters putting their reputations on the line, so I'm not complaining and looking forward to the fight, especially with the hype and backing Eubank is getting.

Going with the poker analogy he strikes me as an Ace-High type of fighter and has a good bluff as opposed to a good hand

After last night my mind has changed the way the Eubank's talk it is like they think/know this is an easy fight. He may actually be THAT good.

I think Eubanks get beat by Ryder. I cannot see him beating BJS. On saying that I thought Stalker would be too strong for Catterall, so you should probably put your money on Eubanks.

Jr isn't an Ace High boxer acording to reports he 'clinically' disposed of the German last night. It seems Eubank has One Pair of hands and is using them with good power, those hooks and upper cuts are certainly 3 Of A Kind combinations and he's Straight to the mid section with Flush hard shots that would make a Full House stand to attention and take note that Eubank is improving with every fight. When he starts to double up with Four of A Kind stiff hooks, or jabs BJS will not know whats hit him. As before we have no seen the best of Jr and if he hits BJS with a Straight Flush shot between his ribs I think he may go straight down the River, without Jr even producing his Joker. I just hope he keeps those shots up and does not produce any Low Balls.

Its simple really, should be a good fight 50/50? I'm not sure I think Jr has something left in the Deck possibly up his sleeve.

I know what you are saying, but they seem very confident as if it is a walkover. I guess sparring is the only thing they can pin it on.

Has everyone seen Eubank Jnr vs Carruthers?

I think Eubank Jnr scraped it by a round but it was very even and a draw would have had very few people upset.

After that fight they significantly dropped the level of opponent for Eubank to fat Latvian cabbies fighting a weight division higher than usual. He of course started to look sensational.

BJS is leagues above Carruthers. I see a one sided win for BJS on PTS.

It was only his 5th fight to be fair and then he did fight Bradley Pryce a few fights later and won every round and he has also beaten Frankie Borg although they are not household names they are better than Carruthers.
