Professional boxing in Sweden has been banned since 1969. However amateir boxing for both sexes is still allowed though there is a lobby to ban that too.
and heres a boring fact... the Olympics in 1912 were the only games where boxing never took place, due to the fact they were held in Stockholm, which of course as we all know geography buffs, is in Sweden.

As for professional boxing being banned, given recent fights and the matchmaking of certain promoers etc theres a good case for saying competetive boxing is banned in this country!!
