The Campbell Coyle fight got me thinking. What other fights between 2 Brits would you like to see to decide who moves on to the next level, or at least, moves on quicker? IMO this is better than fighting the usual bums before eventually getting exposed. Perfect example I can think of would be Rocky v C.Smith. Any others?

Price vs Fury would have been awesome & should serve as an example not to leave domestic deciders for too long.

The obvious one is BJS vs Eubank Jr, but thankfully that's already happening (we hope!).

Mitchell v Crolla winner gets a world title fight.

Would have liked to have seen Rose vs L Smith before Rose had his title shot.

Mitchell vs Murray was a good example of this type of match up. Although they both ended up fighting for world titles in their next bouts!

Yes this would have been the perfect fight to see who's better equipped for the next level. Would still be good now even though Rose got hammered in his world title fight.

Yeah, Crolla might have struggled with Derry but since then has looked impressive against Rees and Murray.

Agreed though I do feel the Brian Rose that fought Maciel would win. liam Smith needs a similar calibre of a fight next IMO

I'm looking forward to Liam Walsh vs Gary Sykes.
2 guys that I'd half forgotten about but a great match up for a Lonsdale title.
Liam Walsh, like his brothers suffered a bit of inactivity over the last 3-4 years, but looking at his last 6 opponents, it's more than sufficient preparation for a British title fight .
And sykes looked like he'd found his level when he lost 2 to Buckland. But with 2 wins over Crolla, a win over Coyle and a 7 fight winning run, another man more than deserving the shot.

It'll be good to see who comes out on top and I'd love to see the winner move on to face Stephen Smith, who I suspect they are trying to build up to World level. I'm not sure he's ready to go that far and I'd rather see him prove he's best in the UK first

Selby vs Warrington will be be a great fighn next year,if Lee gets the Gradovich fight i reckon he can pull it off but he'll have to bring his A-game coz Evgeny's a tough champ,Selby wont be able to get away with coasting to a points win like we've seen him do before

Butler vs Yafai will be another great fight down the line,again hopefully for a world title

Frampton/Quigg/Galahad's obviously a great trilogy and i hope they all come off,we missed the boat with Barker/Murray/Macklin/Lee and im not too fussed about them anymore TBH although id like to see Saunders in with any of them(Barring Darren of course) and i'd give Billy Joe a chance against any of them,even Martin whose prob the best,Murray doesnt fight many technicians,Sturm and Martinez are the only 2 i can think off,BJS could be sharper than they were,whether thats still good enough i dont know but i def think he has a chance

Yeah Selby V Warrington would be good eventually. I was thinking Butler Yafai also but didn't mention it in the original post as Butler has already reached the top (momentarily) even though he's barely known by casuals. I can see Yafai going far though. I believe the UK has bags of potential and C.Smith, Campbell, Joshua & Yafai are leading the next generation. Also looking forward to seeing how the Commonwealth medalists get on in the pros as and when they turn over, especially Anthony Fowler.

Wouldn't mind seeing Bradley Saunders in against Limond or even Burns if he doesn't move back to 135

Flanagan vs Ormorod is a good one that seems to be going under the radar. Ormorod's comprehensive win over Derry has gone largely unnoticed.

To be fair, both Derry's hands were fecked from quite early on in that bout I believe.
