After watching ricky for years an having fought him as a amateur I think its time he called it a day. Ricky has been great for Scottish boxing but looked terrible in his lst fight, he has learned nothing new under sims an a think there was a reason why Eddie Hearn wanted him to team up with the Sims he would be great for a sparring partner for kevin Mitchell an other boxers under Sims.I thought ricky would have benefited from going with enzo calzage my reasons for this are ricky isn't the biggest puncher but has a great chin, engine, heart, an hand speed the same as enzos son joe.Joe won his last few fights on speed an workrate an the ability to take a shot but saying this if his last fight is anything to go by it wouldn't matter who was training him as he looks shot to peices, I think ricky should have one more fight in Scotland against scott harrison or willie limond or evn craig docherty get one last big payday an call it a day out of the 3 names a mentioned Harrison would be the biggest draw but a wouldn't like him to become a stepping stone for up an coming prospect's a maybe being abit premature an ricky will against all odds get a second wind with his career but as a said after his last fight he did look terrible so it seems unlikely like to hear your veiws

I'd like to see Burn's get to 100 fights, which I read somewhere he would like to do himself, good luck to him I say.

I think Calzaghe had a better boxing brain to be fair though. Also, i think joe would of been successful no matter who was training him really.

I do think there's a fair bit of truth to that. However saying that, I dont particularily rate Sims as a trainer. He seems a bit dim.

On his long challenge to become Scotland's most famous Burns

If he's still enjoying the game & is able to motivate himself despite having fallen from World level then I see no reason for him to call it a day just yet. He may be on a bad run but it's not as if he's anything like a danger to himself like a Katsidis or a Williams (who both should've called it a day a long time ago).

Still think there are some good domestic fights out there if he wants them.

I think his biggest problem is that he just isn't prepared to take the shots that he used to in order to get the job done, he's become a bit gun shy.

He can probably still do well at British level mind, but it's like he's become very safety conscious.
