The circus tht is Shannon briggs wins again in the first rd again at the weekend, this guy is a joke shouting out Wladimir to get one last payday, if I was wlad I wouldn't give him the chance after his antics he wouldn't last anymore than two rds with wlad, Eddie Hearn should give him a payday an get young Joshua to shut him up be a good name on the record of Joshua, on the subject of Joshua he aint the next Lennox Lewis hes the next frank bruno us British are getting excited by him but its because the hw seen is so poor, amean if a young frank bruno was jst starting out now we would have the same expectation iv spoke with Michael sprott an he says he isn't intimated by Joshua an is going out for the win but its a massive ask an would be a massive shock, I have been saying sine about Joshua s 3rd fight he should fight kevin Johnson well they're fighting in January, Johnson should be able to take Joshua a few rds if anyone can its johnson but what a statement if he stops him anyway jst hope someone shuts up the clown tht is Shannon briggs he doesn't deserve a shot at any title he's 42 an been koing out bums in a rd or 2 an thinks hez worthy of a title shot not a chance hopefully it won't be long b4 he is in with a fighter tht sends him into retirement an a think Joshua is the very man to do it like to hear your views

What's wrong with wanting one more last payday? Briggs is still a young man really 42? probably doesn't know how to do anything else either, give him a break I say!

Because the last time he fought anyone decent was 4 years ago against Vitali Klitschko and he put him in intensive care, now he wants to fight Wladimir, who will do at least the same unless Briggs falls over early on and he's too brave for his own good to do that. He's barely fit to box and certainly not for a world title against a man who's as accurate and hits as hard as Wlad does.

Briggs might be borderline certifiable, but his antics are arguably the most interesting thing happening in the HW division right now.

Put him in with Fury that would be a funny build up.

Also be a good AJ opponent, least he will come to win not like Kevin Johnson who will come to survive in January match up.

I think, I would rather see AJ in with Kevin Johnson tbh just to see him get the rounds he needs. Then a fight with Briggs would be fun.

But by fighting johnson he will test his stamina an if he knocks him out what a statement to the rest of the Hws fury an chisora both went the distance with him so for Joshua to stop him we will all know we dont need to pad out his record wae 2nd an 3rd tier Hws tht he belongs with the top guys of the division

Wonder why he doesn't feature on wlad's undercards to build a bit of interest ? The youtube vids are one thing, but he has more chance of getting what he wants if he impresses on the same show as wlad.
Just watched Shannon's win last night, it was against a fat balding novice on a losing streak, he took a body shot and went down on one knee to be counted out. Pointless really. Wonder who is representing him these days ? Presumably not the same folk who relieved him of his purse against vitali ?

I agree with this. AJ - if he beat Sprott - would need a fight with Kevin Johnson just for the rounds.
Briggs would be interesting as a summer fight. Having said that, Hearn has already said - in one of his many contradictory interviews on IFL tv - that he wants to stage the British title in Watford's ground in June 2015 against Cornish or Price (as said, totally contradictory as both opponents are miles apart in terms of level).
