I wouldn't bank on Eastman being able to win at any higher weights. He doesn't exactly have the highest of workrates, and his power wouldn't be as impressive, and he'd be facing far bigger punchers.

Eastman would struggle to make top 10 at super middle.

Sanavia the new champ came from Middleweight !!!
He ran from Eastman !
Eastman would beat him at Middle and Sopermiddle !!
Winnable fight and then drop down to Middle fopr Hopkins !!!
Why not if it could be made !!!

Christ forgot about Sanavia! How on earth did that bastard ever get a title shot, it's quite incredible really, totally corrupt boxing organisation as usual that's how.
Eastman gets passed over, and Sanavia somehow moves up in weight and gets a title shot out of nowhere!

While I believe Eastman would be a significant underdog versus Calzaghe, Reid, Green, Siaca, Mundine, Echols, Larsen, Brewer and Kessler I actually could see him beating Sanavia, who really is nothing special at all.
Still can't work out how Beyer lost to this guy. Doesn't seem to make sense.

Sanavia cannot have been a mandatory, so perhaps Beyer came in soft against what he thought was a soft target, and simply wasn't fit enough, didn't see the fight, so just a wild stab in the dark.

Sanavia didn't run from Eastman. This all smacks of the Hennessy forum.

Correct.
Beyer was surposed to have fourght Green but Green pulled out because of the dehydration against Sullivan so Beyer fourght a voluntary defense against Sanavia instead.

dont know who Beyers sparring partners were but i am sure he would have won if he had sparred with Erik Teymour as originally planned...
Unfortunatly the German Embassy kept fcuking around when issuing Eriks visa.... first of all he had to wait a week for an appointment then come back the next day for his passport.. then a "computer problem" meant that they couldnt issue the visa and it turned into a " it should be ready tomorrow" sitiuation for 4 days by which time there was no point going.
Erik lost a good payday and some good sparring, Markus lost some great sparring and his WBC title

The Italians outbid Hennessy by something like 80,000 dollars to secure the fight in Italy for Sanavia. If the Italian can then go to Germany and beat Markus Beyer for a big title a weight up, he can hold his own with lazy Howard Eastman in Italy.

But who's walked the walk and who hasn't. With Eastman it's all about what he could do. But the others have done it.

Apart from Beyer ( who is crap ) what as sanavia done ?..

Given the opportunity - he will take it !!

fornicate all? A WBC champion. If Eastman had gone to Germany and beaten Markus Beyer for the WBC title, he'd be feted now.

I don't want to get into a pointless argument with you over a waste of space like Howard Eastman, but it's very easy to say someone is spent after they've been beaten.
Sanavia took his chance. Eastman didn't.

Everyone knew after the green fight !!
One thing to beat a shot Beyer and face a live Joppy..!
You get fighters like Eastman and witter who get near to no chnces and HATTON WHO TURNS THEM DOWN !!
HATTON IS THE BIGGER WASTE OF SPACE !!

totally ridiculous.
How can you say that? Eastman is well known for going awol (you prob dont know this) being ill disciplined at times(again you probably dont know this) and is hardly crowd pleasing (you may well not know this judging by your posts).
To say that hatton who raises the profile of boxing in the country like howard could only dream of, is a waste of space and big up a man who clearly isnt that bothered about the sport is somewhat pathetic in my view.
Eastman had his chance and due to his own ill discipline by not pushing the advantage didnt take it. So stick that in your pipe and smoke it mate.

What exactly has Eastman done since he lost to Joppy? Bugger all, at the end of the day, Sanavia was prepared to travel and is now the champion, Eastman, well, who knows what his motivation is, I understand it must be frustrating being the #1 contender to hopkins for so long, but come on, does he expect Bernard to turn down DLH to fight him, what on earth for, nobody knows who he is outside of this country, except that he lost (and he has nobody to blame but himself for this) to Joppy.

According to Team Palle who has a small interview with Sanavia on their site, Sauerland has options for Sanavias next 4 fights.

by jamesmcdonnell
O lordy, what a surprise that is. Sauerland in options on winning fighter shocker. I cannot think of an occasion when a fighter challenging a Sauerland fighter hasn't had to sign their life away to get a title shot.
I really do think options are something which should be outlawed, it allows promoters to monopolise things too much, and to an extent makes it harder for a fighter to be a free agent.
