That is great news.Hopefully it happens then.I worry that this fight won't happen for another year.

January 17th, that cant be right, it's only 8 months and 7 days after Stiverne's last fight! He's not used to this level of activity and will probably need at least another four months to recover from the Arreola fight.

Don King has not finished jabbering..........probably got the lawyers involved over whether they should have peanuts of pretzels at the final presser. And who is paying for the snacks.

Poor old soul does not get out so much these days.

Like him or not.He brought us some of the greatest matches of the 70's-90's.
He may have been a murderous thug who stole
enough money from boxers to single handed pay off the national debt. But he did put together
some great cards.Too bad he is holding up the career's of the few fighters he controls.
The sport has passed him by.

That's fair enough comment.....King made some great fights, whilst also being a total egomaniac and not exactly being every fighter's kindly, well-meaning and most truthful uncle.

I do miss the old sod in many ways....hence the firmly tongue in cheek post. And still reckon Wilder's people end up paying for all the snacks and sodas..they just don't know it yet!

Stiverne fighting twice in under a year? Almost like a real fighter. My buddies are NFL fans, so these delays and cancelations make me look bad as a boxing fan. It's personal. LOL.

Remember when Vitali retired and loads of people were celebrating, saying this will open the division right up, lots of great fights on the horizon and now, BOOM, it's all stop again.

It likely won't happen in January.

I'm guessing March or April.

I still laugh remembering Stiverne said he hurt his hand sparring last fall, then changed his story. Enjoy your reign as the "champ" Bermaine.
