Provodnikov VS Castillo

That is bullshit. They offered the fight to quite a few other fighters, and they all declined.chucktaylor wrote:Castillo was shut out by Antwone Smith on ESPN last time I saw him, looking totally shot. This is a terrible match, but I guess it will sell in Russia and they don't want to take any risk of Rulan losing in front of his fans.
I've always looked forward to Provodnikov fights, but I won't even watch this one.

Yeah because there aren't any young/hungry fighters out there with something to prove that could get something out of fighting Provodnikov. There also aren't any gate keepers who still have a pulse that wouldn't jump on the opportunity to fight the great hype Provodnikov. Only this 40 year old man who's 10 years out of his prime has the balls to step into the ring with the guy who's 1-2 in this last 3 fights! LMAO. Come on dude you really don't think when you talk do you? So Castillo is the only fight he could get? Are you fornicating serious? I can't express how much of a moron you are and the consistency you act like a moron is truly a gift.ikorolev wrote:He is fighting Castillo, because a bunch of better fighters refused to fight him. How does this contradict avoiding ? Provodnikov is a limited boxer, but he is still extremely dangerous.
Thank you! Of course there was multiple fighters who would have taken the fight.NateJR wrote:Yeah because there aren't any young/hungry fighters out there with something to prove that could get something out of fighting Provodnikov. There's absolutely no way to defend Provodnikov fighting Jose Luis Castillo. "EVERYONE" is avoiding Provodnikov so he's fighting a guy who's 15 years past his prime and hasn't had a meaningful win in over a decade, great logic you effing clown shoe!![]()

Russian fans needed an opponent with a name. They wouldn't want to see some obscure opponent with no history. Yes, Castillo is a poor choice from sports/competition standpoint, but he may be better than some gatekeepers or youngsters from financial standpoint.NateJR wrote:Yeah because there aren't any young/hungry fighters out there with something to prove that could get something out of fighting Provodnikov. This is just a piss poor match and I don't see how you can view it any other way, at least from a fan's perspective.ikorolev wrote:Russian fans needed an opponent with a name.
