What's people's opinions on running the days you spar? Yes or no?

I think if you are a professional boxer, then you should be running in the mornings and going to the gym in the evenings as that seems to be what all the World Champions do, although some of them run in the evenings but they all seem to run 5-6 dayss per week, for around 5 miles.
If you are an Amateur Boxer like myself, that does a 8-4 work day Monday to Friday, I think you can go to the Gym and have a hard 2 hours work out session 3-4 times per week and on the days you are not at the gym do your roadwork/hill/sprints.
