Just watching this video, it seems that he wants Chavez jnr in Vegas or retirement. Can't blame him.

It's good to see a video like this to appreciate the hard work that has been put in over the years from amateur to fine world champion.

I hope he does retire.

I'm not that fussed about seeing him fight Chavez & it would be nice to see him go out on top with his health, wealth & faculties intact.

If only Carl came across that humble all the time. Less people would question him.
I'll certainly miss watching him fight, not many come close to him at the minute for entertainment value

Nice video, thanks for posting. I always get the impression the arrogance that comes out sometimes doesn't flow that naturally, almost scripted, whereas that all sounded pretty genuine. Either way I'm a big fan, he's done a helluva lot for British boxing and has been in so many amazing fights it's hard to recall them all. I personally would love to see him go out with a win over Chavez in Vegas.

Genuinely world class, and we don't have many of them, there'll be a big gap when he goes, both in terms of quality and excitement.

He's had a hard thought career & made his money & is a family man what's the point of going to war & risking your health ?

Vegas would also be missing out not to see Froch fight at least once.......

yes, I think they'd enjoy seeing him fight and I imagine seeing his name up on the Vegas strip would be wonderfully validating for him.

I hope he boxes Chavez Jnr; it'd be a hell of a stylistic matchup and bound to have some fantastic exchanges and action.

not too many british fighters over the last 15 years could actually be described as warriors, froch is 1, carl Thompson another..........then im struggling.

I also dont get this arrogant thing. Top sportsman, he has to have a lot of self belief. I always think he comes over as ok tbh.

Prior to Groves he was disliked by the odd few but on the whole very well respected and admired in the sport.

I know I know, 'blame Groves' all over again but i genuinely think Groves has just made himself out to be a massive tit in the whole Froch saga and unfortunately dragged Froch down a few pegs with him. He might not have helped himself but in the face of all that pub car park level trash talk from Groves its easy to say in hindsight he shiuld have handled it better but at the time he was put on the spot by someone so desperate to get an edge he's ended up deluding himself forever.

I hope he gets the Vegas date with Chavez, has an absolute war, comes out on top and in good health and hangs his gloves up leaving us with the best of Froch to remember.

I also hope he stops prancing around in daft outfits with a load of failed popstars, politicians and tv gardeners.

I doubt he walks through him. I think there's very few fighters that would walk through Chavez because like Froch, he also is tough as nails.

as a boxing fan i dont want him to retire as sport poorer without him

I'd like to see him call it a day now, since there aren't too many legacy fights out there for him, but I doubt that happens.... Even though he might not make the money he made fighting Groves in the rematch, there's still a lot of money to be made. They work so hard and so long to get to the top of the money earning tree its hard to walk away when there's that much money on the line. I think he'll fight at least once more, but wouldn't be surprised to see him have another 2 or 3 fights.

i actually think froch would fight a smart-ish fight a la Abraham, against JCCXXL. Despite appearances i think froch has such a superior boxing brain he could outbox the one paced no plan b jcc pretty easily. Plus the pudendum not outweighing his man by 100lbs for a change, being hit back by someone remotely his own fvcking size, i don't think jcc would be nearly as aggressive vs froch than we are used to him being at 'middleweight'

in short i think froch could school jcc without having to brawl at all, and i think he could do it barely breaking sweat.

I think its partly that and I think its partly the fact that he wants to fight JCC in Vegas. If he wants to fight in Vegas, he can do that against lots of guys. He wants JCC because its a huge payday.... Maybe I'm just being a cynic, but there are very few fighters that walk away from the sport at the height of their earning power. I don't think Froch is going to be one of those few, not just yet anyway.

I hope he gets a Vegas fight, most fighters dream of seeing their name up in lights in Vegas and no-one can say Froch doesn't deserve it. A great servant to British boxing and I for one would be going to it.

Even though he didn't fulfil his potential, John Murray was a warrior. His fight against Brandos Rios was quite impressive, bearing in mind that Rios was over the limit. It's a shame that Murray kept on drinking and partying rather than work on his weaknesses (mostly headmovement).

I wouldn't be surprised if Carl Froch did choose to cash out. Because if I was in the situation he is in of having just fought at Wembley Stadium in front of 80,000 people, the biggest post war attendance to see a young pretender. The fire in the belly just wouldn't be burning that intensily after that. So perhaps it is time to walk away.
