Yes, absolutely.

Froch is now popular with casual boxing fans, thanks to the two Groves fights & bit of googling would tell them all they need to know about Ward & what he represents to Froch's legacy.

More chance of the pope converting to Islam that this fight happening.

As. UK fight fan not sure it does the Groves fight was two Brits in a rematch of an amazing first fight that was big anyway plus he controversial stoppage and Georges mind games was the reason that fight was big

Froch's drawing power seems to have been overestimated based on the second Groves fight, the fight sold, not Froch or Groves as fighters. The stoppage and needle between them allowed Sky to spin it into something massive and even then it didn't sell out Wembley. Ward's completely unknown, in the grand scheme of things Froch is still a bit of a nobody to the general public and based on the first fight, they'd struggle to sell a fight between him and Ward. It would probably sell out the City Ground, but wouldn't come close to Wembley, Groves II was a one off, it would take a fighter with a fanbase like Hatton's to sell like that again.

Only if the undercard featured Scott Quigg defending his 'world title' against an average Jap

I think the Carl Froch-Andre Ward fight could sell well at Wembley but handsome Eddie is going have to stack the card pretty damn deep to make it happen. Froch is the division's number 1 attraction etc, but post World War II record only went because of the contraversial nature of his first fight with George Groves that made it the sell that it is. The only way we could have a sold Wembley Stadium was if Handsome Eddie had this as a card (money no object and no politics etc).

Maybe, would really need the fighters to sell the fight, however I don't think that's wards bag.

Ward would rather be an actor than boxer. He's better off anyway. Ward needs to be taken off the P4P lists ASAP

1) Ward deserved to beat Froch, but it wasn't "easy"
2) Ward turned down the chance to rematch Froch in the UK, but refused because he didn't want to travel

Why should Ward have to travel to fight a guy he already beat?

I mean, it might not be the best financial decision, but I can't see why from a fan's perspective we would expect him to leave California if he doesn't want to.

I'd agree with the second point, as I said it might not be the best decision not to, financially.

If this fight isn't scheduled, stfu. If it is, any fight between these two is good.

Good fight but Ward beats him easily, probably no sell out at Wembley though and even if it is I can guarantee that it won't be because it's Andre Ward, they'll be coming to see the Cobra.

If Froch Groves II had been as exciting as Froch Groves I then YES*, it would sell out Wembley.

But the 'big fight' fan (casuals as you lot call them) didn't enjoy the rematch as much as they (or Eddie) hoped.

* - of course, if it had been that exciting we'd be seeing Froch Groves III

Unfortunately that's true enough. I argued with a man about The Super Six a few weeks ago and he was convinced that Carl Froch had won it. And then mentioned Bute as his opponent in the final.



I think it's a shame,considering how talented a boxer that he is, but it's no one's fault but his own, his inactivity is damaging to the sport. And this reasoning of his
"I can't get a fight because no will fight me"

It only washes for so long. Even other top fighters across the weights manage to find viable opponents, look at the likes of Golvkin, Rigondeaux & Terrence Crawford.

Agreed. Inactivity should damage every boxers ranking... I still remember a year or two back when David Haye received heavy criticism for his inactivity, and there were calls for him to be withdrawn from the rankings...
