I'm assuming sky will have him in the studio or as a pundit at ringside
What with him being mates with Bellew and Degale & Froch fighting...plus Calzage will be about
because of Cleverley...Carl won't be able to contain himself with his bitter, self important rants...
hopefully Glen will be keep him somewhat in check :OhYes:

Jheez, give the bloke a break. I really don't think he's that bad at all. Did you have your eyes on Cordingley or something and you're bitter because he got the girl??

Far as I can tell. Froch is happy as a clam right now, judging by his last interview, he's achieved pretty much everything he dreamed of, and is ready to hang them up for good if he can't get the fight in Vegas he desires.

Christ, some people on here really are haters.

I hear James DeGale thinks that Froch has always been in his shadow....

It's like a school playground in here sometimes.

A thread about a man potentially saying something, seriously.

Not bothered about Cordingley mate - she's not particularly my type in terms of a wifey tbh...I would smash her to bits on occasions though like any red blooded man.

I don't have a problem with Carl - I'm actually a fan but outside the ring he does come across as a bitter sod towards other fighters sometimes like his rant about Khan the other day.

Also do a poll to see whether Froch has earned the right to fight whoever he wants in his swansong. The man is a british boxing legend let him go out with good memories and them not being tarnished by MAYBE getting outboxed by someone who he can't get up for fighting
I rate Degale but hes not quite as good as Dirrell yet IMO and obviously nowhere near Ward who are the 2 to really frustrate Carl. I think Froch would wear him down in the later rounds and get to him. I hope Degale doesn't dine out on Froch "ducking" him in the future.

I have not been a big forum user for a few years but now posting and reading a lot more and surprised by the anti Froch stuff. Where does it come from?

I used to think he was a prick and hated how he talked out of the ring but actually, as time has gone on, he has earned the right more than nearly anyone to talk how he does with uber confidence and even arrogance. It is who he is, part of his make up and that personality and the way he ticks is what has led him to doing what he has in the ring.

This guy has stepped up time after time and not many people on the planet, even active boxers or even active belt holders are in a position to think he has not got a right to speak how he does. This is a boxing forum and as far as boxing goes, he is more successful and earned his stripes more than 99.9999% of the planet

No one has the right to be arrogant, no matter what they have achieved. It's easily possible to achieve a lot and remain humble.

Froch will go down as British boxing legend and 4 time world champion who fought all the best in the division NOT as the man who Calzaghe did or didn't duck..

I dont think Froch is intentionally arrogant or whatever, its just that he hasnt got the twinkle in his eye like Ali,the humour of say Hatton and the quick tongue like Naz

It doesnt mean he's trying to be a dick or has contempt for anyone,he's a boxer, sucking your own c**k is part of the game, even Ricky, the peoples champ likes to mention Tszyu in most interviews,so what he still seems a top fella

A lot of boxers just play the game, its an individual sport so theres clearly a better sense of achievment in it,whereas football every player is afraid to criticise anyone incase they get in trouble and just spout the same stuff

I do think it's a crime that someone as good as Ward is wasting his prime in legal wrangles, it's ridiculous, he should go down as an ATG, but at this rate, he will be a footnote if he cannot extricate himself from his legal difficulties.

I seem to recall he has a doctorate in something or other, he's a sharp cookie Ward, so he is the type that could probably walk away if he had to - but what a waste of talent if he did.

I was (or am) half expecting Paul Smith to be ringside or in the studio have fought (and lost) to both James DeGale and George Groves on their way up for the British title, unless he is working Callum's corner come fight night.

As for who fights Carl Froch next. Makes more sense for Froch to fight DeGale as the PPV (which handsome Eddie will want to be) shown live at more a reasonable time then Froch v Chavez stateside on PPV and then Handsome Eddie could stack the card with Matchroom fighters that way. Unless part of the plan entails showcasing Big Josh stateside.

I said he will go down as a 4 time champ which surely we all know he will. Admittedly it should be 3 time (WBCx2 and IBF) but i think the fact that the WBA is the regular belt while Ward is the true champ will be forgotten, especially if Ward's current issues continue.

Could AJ get a visa? Doesn't he have a criminal record for drugs related offenses against his name?

He does for possession with intent to supply but was given a community order and a suspended sentence.

It think it would be difficult but not impossible for him to do it as he did not do time like Martin Murray who saw his opportunity to fight JCC Jnr scuppered because of his conviction.
