very talented boxer who boxed excellently during the games, has a great coach in Peter Harrison and will campaign at Lightweight he told me on saturday

I liked the look of him the very first time I saw him. Think he'll make a brilliant pro

First class news. Hope he's able to deliver the goods as a pro.

There's also another young lad Mark McKeown who Charlie just beat in the Scottish,he too has a great pro style and hits a bit harder than Charlie too.

I'm sure Mark dropped Charlie when they boxed last year too, I wonder about Charlie's whiskers to be honest. He was dropped heavy against Lewis Paulin from Meadowbank and he was out of it!! Then the timekeeper rang the bell about a minute early!!

I wish Charlie all the best in his pro career though and if he tightens that defence he can defo have a good career.

It's well known charlie struggled big time to make lightweight so wonder what weights he gonna fight at, he's not that big sat next to him at St andrews sporting club and a proper nice guy, boxed my brother in the finals of the intermediates also so always kept a keen eye on his progress, for
Me he will deliver but he proberly will come through a lot of sticky times in his career as his chin wasn't great in the ams but usually wrte flash knockdown a proberly more balance issues

I saw the Lewis Paulin knockdown 1st hand and it wasn't a flash one!! His legs were completely gone and if the timekeeper didn't ring the bell early then Scotland would have 1 less gold medalist from the games imo. His defence needs sorted and to be fair it was tighter in the commonwealths but with the smaller gloves in the pro's we will see exactly where his chin is.

If he can keep a tight defence and keep improving then even if he has a question mark over his chin then he can still have a very good career. I hope i am wrong about his chin though!! Imo Reece McFadden and Josh Taylor will be the ones who will do very well in the pro game if they decide to turn over.
