Don't think he landed a punch in the first round, sure Sky will give it to him anyway.

He is a much better opponent than Ramos, but it would have been nice for him to be picked straight away and have the notice so he could have some proper training for McDonnell. I know we hear 'oh he was in training' a lot. Yes but not necessarily for a fight of the same magnitude.

Surprises me he hasn't gone to the body more. Think he caught him and made him wince in the 2nd or 3rd and after that he seemed to stop. The way Chacon leans forward makes him open to the uppercut too, but McDonnell doesn't seem to uppercut that much in any of his fights that I have watched.

Yes now that you mention it. Although I think Owen had more of an inside game. I think Pintor was very surprised that Owen didn't fight him with the upright retreating style that some European fighters have.

Stopped dislocated shoulder

naaaaaaaaah...im not buying that, if his shoulder has popped out you don't wave it and lift it up in the air, you hang it down or support it across your chest.
the boy did well but in the end settled for a 'L' on his record and a good pay check.

No way is that a "dislocated" shoulder. He basically just quit.

I've dislocated my shoulder before. From the way he was moving his arm immediately before and after the stoppage it doesn't seem like he's dislocated it. Could be wrong.

In fairness he was never going to be in 12 round condition at such short notice. He give it his best, ran out of gas and quit before he got beat up.
