He seemed happy to just go the distance and not be knocked out, he knew all along he wasn't up to the job tonight, what a joke of a fight that was, cleverly boxed with no passion or hunger and just wanted to cash out, if he had any ambition he would be getting trained by Adam booth and boxing at light heavyweight.

Agree with all of that. He clearly had injured his right hand either very early on or before getting into the ring, and appeared to give up entirely trying to win from about round 9 on.

Just seen a interview with cleverly he said his hand is not broken or fractured. Also I have never seen a fighter so happy and content after losing a massive ppv grudge fight, what a letdown cleverly really is.

Very very disappointed in Cleverly. Heart is so not in the game anymore. He doesn't give a f*ck that he lost. Pocketed a few hundred K for his trouble and that was what he was here for all along.

I don't expect to see him in a ring again.

Glad I didn't pay. If I'd paid, I'd feel mugged by Cleverly.

Agree 100% with Michael. I don't believe his hand was injured. As his trainer was removing his glove, Cleverly was chatting with Bellew's trainer and not even looking at his glove. An injured fighter is usually wincing in pain as the glove is removed. For him to then start banging the drum for a third fight (after that performance) was sickening.

Agreed.

This was a concerted effort by Cleverly to cash out here. He genuinely had all the fight and ambition beat out of him by Kovalev. I don't mind fighters cashing out, but he made a mug of a lot of people here tonight with his performance.

The Pac - Algieri bill wasn't much cop either. I think I may switch to a different sport. 12 fights and not a single good one. At least Joshua looked good..........

Slept right through Bellew v Clev on radio 5 live (last thing i remember is the Everton ringwalk seeming to last for ages). Just skipped through the Pac bill in about half an hour. Not a great weekends boxing.

Enjoying watching last nights UFC though.

I was cringing when he mentioned a 3rd fight, such a wasted talent, never should have gone up to cruiser just because he lost to an absaloute beast at lhw. Dont expect to see him in the ring again, I should have lumped on bellew big time, all the way through that buildup he just seemed like he wasnt all that bothered.

Fought scared, hardly threw a right hand and not a combination in sight, goodjob he didn't win or marco huck would have had his head bouncing off the canvas quick time, hang em up nathan your heart isn't in it anymore.

I think the thing to remember is that clev has always had a back up plan for if he didn't make it at the top level in boxing.

DeMarco vs Vargas was good, not sure if you caught Tso vs Sabu or Ng vs Attard but they weren't bad, though Ng's corner need sacking.

That was a great fight - they defo weren't holding back with the punches and connecting, unlike Bellew and Cleverly

Is anyone genuinely surprised by the talk of the third fight? The conspiracy theorist side of me thinks this entire shambles was just the stepping stone to set up the "epic" trilogy. Grudge match, 1-1, Bellew will rant about wanting the decider, Cleverley will drone on about always fighting in hostile territory etc etc, Bellew not strong at light heavy in fight 1, lots of talk about Cleverly not being a cruiser, so no doubt a catchweight for fight 3. Will probably be billed as "No Excuses" or some other garbage title

The only time Clev used his right hand was to wind up bolos.

Part is me is pleased at the lack of effort Clev put it to expose this shite of a card that Young Edward put on.
