For those who are free on Wednesday and hate PPV

There will be a small Japanese card stream on the Gushiken ustream channel. The stream is free and anyone can watch, no signing up for anything or giving away details or anything at all. It will be headlined by a Japanese guy called Koki Eto fighting against Cris Paulino. Eto has been involved in successive FOTY style fights in his last 3 contests winning in Thailand against Kompayak Porpramook, losing in Thailand to Yodmongkol Vor Saengthep and winning in Japan against Ardin Diale. I won't try and sell him as the most skilled fighter on the planet but in terms of action he's sensational.
Paulino is a Filipino fighter who is tipped to go place though this is a tough fight for the visitor despite the fact he is the more technically capable fighter.
This will begin at around 10:50AM UK time so probably only one for the unemployed or night shift workers but it'll almost certainly be worth tuning in to, especially after the steaming turd that Eddie Hearn tried to sell us.
Stream can be seen here:

I know some of you don't give a crap about what goes on in the Japanese domestic scene and that's fair enough though I suggest if you can catch the main event you won't feel let down.

Cheers fella, I really fancy watching it but I will be working at that time. Would there be any way to catch up with it afterwards?

Good post. Could be the perfect antidote for those who 'suffered' last Saturday.

Out of interest how comes its midweek? This a common thing in Japan?

Yeah Japan has cards regularly in the week days. Gushiken doesn't seem capable to get a TV deal so instead does things this way to get his guys some attention and give back to the fans who supported him in his career. He's done this a few times and the streams, whilst not perfect, have always been pretty solid.

In regards to Eto or just in general?
If you've not seen Eto try and check out his last 3 fights before Wednesday and you'll see why he's so exciting.
More generally, did you catch Roman Gonzalez's recent bout?

I just about get away with sitting on Boxrec all day at work, I don't think I'll risk streaming fights though!

Great stuff I'll be watching, would be great if we could have a "free stream" thread as a sticky in this forum.

I am watching the undercard and I find this simple way of filming better then usual hitec. Action is far more clear.

I build up Eto and his excitement factor...and for 2 rounds this has just been him stalking a man who is almost continually on his bike :( probably the 2 quietest rounds of Eto's career, though he is closing the distance a little towards the end of round 2

So far I like the Filipino. Quick southpaw, well schooled.

Paulino boxing well, dominated the third, the rest have been closer rounds but Paulino seems to be in the lead for me

Eto has some spirit but can not get to this little guy. If Paulino had more power and physicality he could indeed go some places.

Thats the largest cup I have ever seen Eto is getting lol. And that was a hottest chick I have ever seen in the boxing ring.
Well Paulino was a non puncher and also soft on the edges. He needs a better physical preparation. Although it looked bit of a low blow.
