Kal Yafai World champion 2015

There's something about this kid that I like. His movement is slick, he's good on the inside, his body shots are next level & he's a banger.
I hear he could possibly move up in weight once he puts away the Superflyweight division including current British World champ Paul Butler. I say he stops Buttler in the distance as I was told Yafai schooled him in the amateurs.
Thoughts on Yafai?

I predict he'll win the WBA Regular title at Bantamweight if McDonnell manages to beat Kameda and become WBA Unified champ

I'm talking about Kal who fights at Superflyweight, he'll win world title at 2 weights is my prediction.

Would like to see him stepping up before saying too much. I know 115 isn't "stacked" but I've seen nothing of him that would convince me that he could beat Arroyo, Ishida, Orucuta, Srisaket, Kono, Cuadras, Tete or Narvaez and with Inoue moving up as well...

He's definitely one of the brightest British prospects around, he beats Paul Butler all day long if that fight ever comes off, but I wouldn't want to see him take on too much, too soon. 2015 is a bit optimistic IMO, there's no rush for him.

Yeah, I have to agree with the cynicism here. Could he beat the genuine top boys at 115 in 2015, I'm really not sure if he's quite ready for that just yet (although I do think he has the pedigree and potential to be right up there). Will he be maneuvered by Matchroom into a 'belt' without having to face any real world class opposition a la Quigg, McDonnell etc etc then yes.
WBA regular seems to be the new 'Hatton WBU', if it then leads him to greater things in 2016 then great.

Who knows how Eddie will play it but everybody thinks Kal is too good for his own good atm so maybe he should up the tempo & fight someone decent, I know he's ready.
I would love for the Butler fight to come off, there is a genuine opportunity for a domestic showdown & to take his belts if he wins next out.
Either way the future is very bright for the Yafais, Gamal has the skills & power too I reckon.
