Does Lee have any realistic chance of winning that?

Discuss.

I'd give Lee a decent chance,if he can use his range, avoid being walked down then i reckon he has enough skill and pop in his punches to edge a decision,Andy's got decent power but i dont think he can KO Korobov

It a step up for Matt but if its close id imagine he'd get the benefit in the close rounds,Im not entirely sold on Korobov as a world class fighter,he's pretty skillful, probably should be further on at this stage in his career, but from his POV,Andy Lee's probably there for the taking

Close to call, but i would imagine Korobov outpoints Lee

I would say that it is 80-20 fight. Lee could pull it up, but most likely Korobov will win first few rounds and keep the advantage to win a decision.

With guys like Quillin turning down over a million to fight Korobov I gotta assume he handles Lee.

That was because Rocnation won the purse bid and Haymon won't work with them, not because Korobov's too dangerous for him to fight. I'm sure Quillin would have fought Korobov, but his handlers, ie Haymon, decided otherwise.

Nope. If there was no Rocnation or Haymon in the picture, there would be risk vs reward talk. Quillin hasn't faced or attempted to face anybody dangerous since winning his belt.

Korobov is currently listed as a 3 1/2-1 betting favorite over Lee.

The Irishman's high-profile flame outs against Vera and Junior have given him a reputation as a guy who won't win the big ones.
Of course he did get revenge against Vera, but Lee seems a step short of competing successfully against high-level opposition.
I think he loses a decisive decision.

I like most others, reckon Korobov will take this. If he fades late like he did in his last fight though, Lee can put him in serious trouble.

Lee's gotta punchers chance but I think Korobov wins hands down. korobov is nothing special tho.......he gets beat to death against GGG and I don't think he beats Quillen either and Quillen is a huge step down from GGG.

I think $1.4 million is sufficient reward for fighting Korobov. Anyone who thinks that fighters would genuinely avoid another fighter is stupid IMO, if the money's right, 99.9% of fighters will fight anyone, it's the people guiding their careers that stop fights from happening.

Korbov is good fighter except when he hits the wall with some type of fatigue problem he has so, yes any decent fighter has chance against Korbov. Then again Lee has his own issues with defense and punch resistance, this is a good match up but would slightly favor Korbov because his career has a certain momentum to it. Its like a 60-40 fight , with Korbov the favorite.

I hope Lee wins and brings that Title back to the British scene.
But win or lose Lee has fights in Britain that can be made for decent money...

Oddsmakers have it an 80-20 fight. I also don't love Lee's chances of getting a decision in the states. I can also see him getting knocked out. I don't see Lee winning this one inside distance.

I favor Korobov but he can be very lackluster at times, as if he doesn't want to be fighting. Lee has many flaws but he's got solid pop and boxing skills from range, and if he's on and Korobov doesn't get out of first gear I think he can pull an upset. Additionally, Lee seems to struggle most with aggressive opponents who push him back and Korobov is not that type of fighter.

I'd favor Quillin and obviously GGG over each of them.

Korobov is considered better, but he really isn't proven. Lee is more experienced at the top level.

Lee is definitely more experienced in losing to the top level. I'll give him that. Lee was getting busted up bad last fight against John Jackson before landing seemingly a Hail Mary 1punch KO as it appeared he himself was about to be knocked out.

Korobov is a 2-time World Amateur championships gold medalist, He has also won against Kovalev in the Amateurs which shows skill.

As a pro he has slowly been climbing the ranks and I think it is his time now.

Korobov by UD 80% chance

Lee By KO is also a small possibility though
