Khans been bragging about this lately and Ariza "confirmed" it....If so Khan should be let out of his cage. Roach on the other hand claims that Pac knocked Amir down several times. There is a huge discrepancy on what actually happened and this will likely go down in boxing lore.

What do people make of this?

Probably a little bit of both are true.I do not doubt Pacquiao could knock out Khan.
But Khan can whack too.So Khan shaking up Pacquiao would be no shock.

Maybe Khan meant to say that he used a rock to hit Pac Man?

It's very possible and he did mention that he was getting the better of Manny in many of those sparring sessions, however all we have is the word of Khan, many people said that Spadafora was getting the best of Floyd in a sparring session but which of us honestly believe that in a real fight either man would beat Floyd or Manny.

Khan is just trying to hype himself up and make it seem as though everyone including Mayweather and Pacquiao are avoiding him, lol..................please give me a break.

Most world class fighters are capable of rocking most other world class fighters if they spar for 3,000 rounds like Pacquiao and Khan have. Pacquiao's chin is a bit less than superhuman, and Khan is fairly effective offensively. If we were talking about Malignaggi rocking Margarito, then maybe I'd have to call bullsh*t. But while I believe Khan may have rocked Pacquiao, I would also figure that Pacquiao probably rocked Khan like every single day and probably KO'd him a decent number of times.

Khan is probably a beast with that head gear on. The problem is when he takes it of the punches tend to do a bit more damage and Pacquiaos definitely would... For the record I'm a fan of Khan and think he is a handful for anyone, including a fading Pacquiao, but I'm not much of a fan of sparring tales. They don't count for much in the ring.

It is SPARRING. It's not the same as a proper bout. All sorts of things happen in sparring, we've all heard of Eubank dropping Froch etc.

It's sparring it means nothing.

Khan only brought it up recently because Roach said it. Roach does have a habit of lying, so personally I believe Khan.

I could believe it both ways. The punches that have the most effect are the ones that you don't see, and both of these guys have great hand speed. To be honest I would like to see a fight made between these 2 regardless of what happens next year. Im not a khan fan at all but I think he has a chance

He also has said he never has said no to any fight. Another lie.
The guy has no credibility whatsoever. Sure it could be true, but I would have to see it to believe it, considering the source.

Its possible, he's a good offensive fighter.....so with headgear hiding his glass jaw, its possible. Khan would get ko'd inside of 3 by Pacman regardless if he wobbled Pac or not in sparring.

Travis Walker and Rafael Butler supposedly put a beat down on Vitali......so I guess this sparring talk is just that talk.

Who gives a f#ck about any of it. Its sparring, its practice folks.

Khan actually denied saying this, but the public always seems to pounce on whatever negative thing that comes from Khan, for some reason I do not know.

This is why people are sick of khan. He's never really been on Floyd or Mannys level, but continues to tell everyone he is

I believe Khan would have had some success v anyone he's sparred with; he's had his moments in every bout he's been in (except Prescott). Khan is an excellent aggressive boxer with speed and power; I understand how he comes across out of the ring turns many against him, in the ring he is entertaining, he turns up to win and he will trade - even when it's stid to do so. Khan is a good boxer to watch but not to bet on.

Oliver McCall decked Tyson at his height in sparring; Larry Holmes used to take Ali to the cleaners in sparring; Sugar Ray Leonard was rocked so badly in sparring in preparation for Hagler that he changed his whole fight plan.

McCall was a known puncher though, and as tough as they come, Khan is neither. It could have happened - but I don't find it likely. Larry Holmes was a future ATG, and Ali was known to let himself get roughed up in sparring to prepare himself for the punishment in the fight.

Again it is sparring.Does it really matter?Every great fighter has been roughed up by a sparring
partner.
